DIRECT ON LINE

The practice of D.O.L (Direct on Line) is being followed for our product by Orient General Industries, G.E. Motors India Ltd., LG Electronics India Ltd., Crompton Greaves and many more.

GC Capacitors are manufactured using low-loss dielectric formed by pure polypropylene film. A very thin mixture of zinc and aluminium is metabolized directly on one side of the PP-flim under vacuum. A free margin is provided on one of the edges. The PP-film thickness is in the range of 6 to 10 microns depending on the application voltage and other environmental conditions. The two sheets of MPP film having free margin opposite to each other are wound into capacitor element, on microprocessor controlled winding machines. The windings are extremely tight so that there is not enough space between the layers for corona to occur. The wind elements are cured at high temperature and are sprayed on both ends with zinc metal to make connections to the extremely thin edges of metabolized electrodes. After insertion into the capacitor case, a viscous, high insulating polyurethane resin is introduced. This protects the winding from environmental influence and provides an extended life expectancy and stable capacitance.

Advantages of Dielectric (MPP) Technology

The selection of polypropylene as a dielectric derives from the following inherent properties :

• Very low dissipation factor

• High insulation resistance

• High thermal stability

• High A.C load capacity

In the event of overvoltage and/or ageing at the end of the Capacitors useful service life and/or external heating, an increasing number of self-healing Breakdown may result in increase of pressure inside the capacitors. In order to prevent bursting, GCS/GCA/GCD Series of Globe Capacitors Ltd. incorporates an internal protection mechanism. The pressure sensitive interrupter (PSI) senses the build up of pressure within the capacitor and interrupts the current path irreversibly by separating the connecting wires from the circuit.

Self- Healing Dielectric Capacitor

MPPcapacitor are self-healing.ln the event of a voltage breakdown the metal layers around the breakdown channel are evaporated by the temperature of the electric arc that forms between the electrodes. They are removed within a few microseconds and pushed apart by the overpressure generated in the center the breakdown spot. An insulation area is formed which is reliably retrictive and voltage proof for all operating requirements of the capacitor.

Now Globe offers vast range of motor-run capacitors in India with a significant proportion of its output Exported directly worldwide. It is also equipped to manufacture tailor- made capacitors as per individual customer's requirement. It's pedigree is based on continuous experience of capacitor manufacture over two decades.

Manufacturing Facility

Globe Capacitors Ltd. Manufacturing facility at 30/8, Industrial Area, N.I.T.Faridabad, an established township in National Capital Region of Delhi (NCR). It is just 30 km away from Delhi on the Main National Highway Mathura Road. Globe Capacitors production capacity has grown steadily from 1 million pieces in 1987 to 28 million pieces per annum today. The future expansion programme is to make Globe Capacitors a truly competitive and now has its presence worldwide. The plant and machinery are imported from reputed supplier from Korea, Europe, Japan Taiwan, China etc.

Incoming Inspections

All activities start from Raw Materials with the selection of Vendors, Sourcing, Incoming Inspections with Acceptable Levels of quality. Only the accepted materials enters the warehouse after a systematic Incoming Inspection Procedure.

Inprocess Inspections

The entire Process is Kept under control from procurement to dispatch to Customer by Routine and Patrol Inspections which ensures that the Products conforms to Specifications at each stage of Manufacture.

Final Inspections

Every Capacitor is subjected to all requirements with a dedicated 100% Routine Tests on all Capacitors at final Inspection and all outgoing inspection is carried out as per Inspection Standard Sampling Plan with most stringent Acceptable Quality Levels which eliminates any failure.
