To expand its footprints in the international energy market, GMR Group acquired a 50% stake in InterGen, a Dutch power major with a global asset base of 8000 MW installed capacity. Further, GMR Group has acquired stake in the prestigious Power Exchange India Ltd. (PXIL) which is promoted by National Stock Exchange (NSE) and National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX). PXIL is one of the two Power Trading Exchange operating in the country today and the other is the Indian Energy Exchange(IEX) promoted by Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (MCX) and Financial Technologies.
