Fractional Distillation Units

Fractional Distillation Units
This is a general purpose semi-continuous unit which is operated generally at vacuum. The unit is complete with a spherical vessel, drain valve, heating bath, thermometer pocket, liquid inlet, packed column, coil condenser, reflux divider, product cooler, twin receivers with drain and vacuum valves. If required, a stirrer with drive can be provided in the vessel. Refer Selection chart for different options available for heating system, vessel, reflux divider and receivers.

Overhead Distillation Unit
Glass condensers are commonly used / attached over GLRs for distillation purpose. This forms a general purpose unit which is operated at atmospheric pressure, and can be operated under vacuum with few modifications. A series of coil condensers is installed, either straight or inverted, over the GL Reactor. For bigger size reactors, shell and tube type condensers can be installed to avail higher heat transfer area. The unit is complete with vapour pipeline, reflux divider, condenser, product cooler and receiver with drain valve. A reflux line with liquid seal is also provided. A special adaptor plate is used to ensure leakproof sealing between reactor's nozzle and glass equipment. Refer Selection chart for different options available for receivers.

 
 

Simple Distillation Units

Simple Distillation Units
This is a general purpose batch unit which is operated at atmospheric pressure. The unit is complete with a spherical vessel, drain valve, heating bath, thermometer pocket, liquid inlet, vapour pipeline and a coil condenser. A receiver with drain valve can be added below condenser if require. Refer Selection chart for different options available for heating system, vessel and receiver. Heating bath heats and evaporates the contents of the vessel. The vapours are then condensed in the condenser, and are collected in a container or a receiver.

 
 

Extraction Units : Liquid Liquid

Extraction Units : Liquid Liquid
This is a semi-batch unit designed for liquid-lilquid extraction as a means of seperation. Liquid to be extracted should be treated with solvent of different density. The liquid mixture is poured in the extraction vessel. Solvent in the reactor is boiled and condensed, and passed to the extraction vessel, from where liquid is extracted and is mixed with the solvent and passes to the reboiler. The process is repeated until extraction is complete. Solution is again evaporated to obtain the extract. The unit is complete with spherical vessel, heating bath, condenser, reflux divider, extraction vessel, and necessary pipelines and valves. The unit can be supplied with solvent feed either from the top or from the bottom, or with common arrangement.

Extraction Units : Solid Liquid
This is a semi-batch unit designed for solid-lilquid extraction as a means of seperation. The solid to be extracted is put inside a glass fibre bag and is placed in the extraction vessel. Solvent in the reactor is boiled and condensed, and passed to the extraction vessel, from where extract is mixed with the solvent and passes to the reboiler. The process is repeated until extraction is complete. Solution is again evaporated to obtain the extract. The unit is complete with spherical vessel, heating bath, condenser, reflux divider, extraction vessel, and necessary pipelines and valves. The unit can be supplied with solvent feed either from the top or from the bottom, or with common arrangement.

 
 

Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers

Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers
Glass Shell and Tube heat exchangers can be used for condensation of vapours, vaporisation, cooling and heating of liquids, and have come out to be more advance and beneficial for its following advantages : * Bigger heat transfer area in one unit. * Less pressure drop. * Stuffing box sealing allows easy tube replacement. The shell and tube heat exchangers are available in various combinations of Glass/Metal/FRP in shell or headers. Shell and tube heat exchanger consists of a cylindrical shell which houses a glass tube bundle. Tubes are sealed with shell with the help of PTFE tube sheets. Each tube is individually sealed tube sheets at both the ends. Baffles are provided in the shell to maintain state of turbulence of fluid as well as to hold the tubes.

 
 

HCL Absorption Columns

HCL Absorption Columns
HCL absorption columns are used for absorption of Hydrochloric gas which statutorily are not permitted to vent into the atmosphere, and to produce the HCl acid. The column is constructed with a series of packed sections, a gas introduction point below that, a condenser on the top, and a cooler at the bottom. Make water is sprayed from the top and acid is collected from the bottom.

 
 

Phase Separator Over GLR

Phase Separator over GLR
Phase separator is used for separation of two immiscible liquids having differeng densities. A continuous phase separator is placed to receive condensate. The condensate forms two layers in the separator, and the light phase flows back to the reactor. Heavy phase is cooled into the product cooler and is collected into the receivers. Continuous separators are available in horizontal, vertical or spherical shapes. An adjustable overflow valve can be incorporated for adjusting the position of interface for different operating situations.

GOEL Rotary Film Evaporators is used in R&Ds, Pharmaceuticals, Fine chemicals, and Food processing industries, and are particularly suitable for the evaporation of solvents containing heat sensitive materials. Rotary Film Evaporator is essentially a thin film evaporator. The rotating evaporation flask creates continually a large surface area covered with a thin film and permit uniform transfer of heat through its glass wall to the thin film. Rotary film evaporators, available in different size from 1 Litre to 20 Litres, can be used for batch and continuous operations under atmospheric or under vacuum conditions.

This is a general purpose batch unit which is operated at atmospherics pressure or vacuum. The unit is complete with a spherical vessel, drain valve, heating bath, thermometer pocket, liquid addition vessel, stirrer, drive, coil condenser, vapour pipeline, reflux divider, product cooler, receiver with drain valve. Refer Selection chart for different options available for heating system, vessel, stirrers, drives, speed regulators and receivers. While heating bath heats and evaporates the contents of the vessel, the stirrer keeps on agitating and mixing them to avoid heat spots. Vapours enter the condenser through reflux divider, and get condensed. The condensate is then cooled by a product cooler and collected into a receiver
