The bursting strength along with double pressure gauge push switch in the tester operates 1/4 horsepower motor, single phase 220/250 volts AC and drives the hydraulic system and produces uniform increasing pressure of a rate of 170 ml/min ± 5 ml/min. These instruments are highly reliable and are designed to yield the accurate result and repeatability by incorporating electronics Automatic Pressure release system and conform to international standards such as BS 3137, IS02759, TAPPI T807, Om-82.T810 and Om-80.

In the entire process of measuring, the test sample is clamped between two clamping parallel plate manually by tightening the screw, and pressure on the sample is transmitted through a rubber diaphragm that causes the sample to expand into the upper clamping plate until it bursts. After releasing the push switch, the pressure gets release automatically. Further, the pressure gauge is fitted with a maximum reading drag point of sample burst, when the main pointer has return to the zero position.
