Gontermann-Peipers India Limited GPIL, an ISO 9001: 2000 company, was promoted in collaboration with Gontermann-Peipers Siegen, Germany, a leading European manufacturer of rolling mill rolls since 1825. In 1981, the company was taken over by the ISPAT GROUP, since then GPI has been evolving itself to keep pace with the dynamic business scenario and emerged as a leader in the Indian roll industry.

Major expansion and modernization programme along with the induction of state-of-the-art technology has kept the company on leading edge of rolling mill rolls technology with a product range from SG Iron rolls to the latest generation High Speed Steel Roll and Back-up Rolls for Steel Rolling Mills customized to meet specific customer needs. The only Indian roll maker with both vertical and horizontal spin casting technology, we are well equipped to meet the stringent quality requirements of the latest generation hot strip mills. The company is also one of the largest producer of forged rolls. GPIL is the first and the only Indian Roll manufacturer to achieve TPM Level-I.
