Filter press is solid liquid separation equipment working on the principal of pressure feeding. It has been used successfully in almost every type of oil and  consists of a series of filter plates and frames recessed plates arranged parallel and fitted on conventional cast iron mild steel structures.

The filter medium is provided in between the plates. A filter pump is applied to feed the mother liquor consisting at solid and liquid through the feed nozzle at the-filter press to the chamber formed between the plates and the filter medium leaving the solid trapped inside and the liquid drained out compared to other filtering equipments.
