Lead Oxides

There are several uses of the Lead Oxides. Lead Oxides are mainly used as raw material in making lead glass for electronic elements, optical glass etc. Lead Oxides are also used in industries such as antirust paint, and ceramics store battery.

Lead Powder

Lead Powder
We provide 99.97% of Pure Lead that is considered as a leader in powdered Lead metallurgy. The range of high purity atomized Lead Metal Powder we offer, is available in various options, sizes and custom blends. We are capable of handling the orders for the Lead Powder in small quantities as well as truckloads, in due time.

The typical usage of Lead Powder are:

  • Oil and gas exploration
  • Radiological medical protective clothing
  • Industrial X-ray shielding
  • Golf club manufacturing
  • Anti-friction products
  • Radiological protective gloves

Lead Sub-Oxide / Grey Oxide

Lead Sub-Oxide / Grey Oxide

We are a leading producer of Lead Sub-Oxide (2PbO.Pb), also known as Grey Oxide or Battery Oxide. It is used extensively to prepare plates that are used in Lead Acid Batteries. Grey Oxide manufacturing plant, uses the Ball Mill processes for operations and refined Lead (Minimum 99.97% purity) as an input. It has the following

specifications:

  • A small Lead Melting Furnace, feeds the balls to the ball mill and operates in tune with a hemispherical or cylindrical ball-casting machine, produces Grey Oxide in a Ball Mill Plant
  • Using an exothermic process, Lead is converted to Lead Sub Oxide in the ball mill. This process leads to generation of heat, the temperature of an oxide is increased to the range of 115 to 135 degree celcius
  • The ball mill is cooled by the water spraying system, controlled by solenoid valve which allows constant flow of air
  • Using classifier high efficiency cyclone, induction draft fan arrangement and bag-house filtration unit, the Grey Oxide is harvested, which is in the powdered form and is grey in color
  • Through proper plant configuration and precise control of ID Fan suction, we ensure desired particle size and free Lead content
    • The plants we have setup can produce up to 350 mesh size LSO powder
Packing Specifications :
  • 25 Kg. bag packing
  • Box packing
  • 1 MT jumbo bag packing
Uses of Lead Sub-Oxide / Grey Oxide:
  • Lead Acid Batteries
  • Electroplating Anode
  • Sulphuric Acid Tank Liners

Litharge / Yellow Oxides

Litharge / Yellow Oxides
Litharge, is a name for Lead Mono-Oxide (PbO) and is used to manufacture various products. The input required for processing Litharge is refined Lead ingots, of minimum 99.98% purity. This input is then fed into the Barton plant and the resultant output is passed onto the Litharge furnace with its equipment complement, consisting of the Litharge furnace, grinder, cyclone and bag-house arrangements, ending in a mixer / silo, Pulverizer & packing section.

Product Description:

  • Yellowish or reddish in color
  • Odorless
  • Heavy
  • Earthy
  • Water-insoluble
  • Solid
  • Mainly used to manufacture Lead Stabilizers (Lead Steareates), pottery, Lead glass, paints, enamels, and inks
  • Used as an intermediate in a variety of industries like lubricants and greases, insecticides, inorganic pigments, Lead soaps, petroleum refining, rubber and PVC to name a few
  • Also known as Lead Monoxide, Lead Oxide, Plumbous Oxide

Red Lead Oxides

Red Lead Oxides
We are engaged in formulating a quality range of Red Lead, a water-insoluble compound which is a bright red to orange-red powder, made using Lead glass, and red pigments. Red Lead is a name for the chemical compound Lead tetra oxide, Pb3O4, which is prepared by the oxidation of metallic Lead or Litharge (Lead monoxide) and is sometimes found as an impurity in the commercial product. To protect iron and steel from rusting, Red Lead is used to make paints. One of the oldest and commonly used anti-corrosion pigments, Red Lead primer, is widely used to apply on metal surfaces. Further, we are also manufacturing and exporting Red Lead, Lead Tri-Oxide, Pb3O4, Red Lead Oxide, which is an orange Lead powder. A mixture of Lead Oxide called Messicot is made by converting Pure Lead Metal, which is then oxidized to form Lead tri-oxide or Red Lead Oxide.

Salient features of Red Lead:

  • Orange-red in color
  • Forms the prime coat for most of the largest bridges in the world
  • It is the primer used in intricate steel structures of buildings built in the 20th century
  • Resistant to salt water, hence, liberally applied to the hulls and decks of millions of ships
  • Typically, 85% red Lead (Lead concentration = 85%) applied to the steel surfaces but lately
  • Red Lead primers containing as much as 95% to 98% Lead were used
