Spectroscopy![]() The long line of innovations in the Spectrascan Series of Spectrophotometers continues with the UV 2100. Available in a stand-alone and computer controlled environment, the UV 2100 offers affordable access to advanced technologies. The instrument offers high resolution over the entire wavelength range of 190 nm to 1100 nm. The UV 2100 combines the high-energy throughput of single beam optics with double beam capabilities by means of the ERS (Electronic Reference Storage). The menu driven operation, multiple scanning speeds, programmable 5 position cuvette turret, 2 nm bandwidth and a 20x4 backlit LCD are features that have made the UV 2100 a widely accepted spectrophotometer in its line. Benzene Toluene Analyser - BtaThe analyser is configured for the determination of benzene and toluene in finished motor and aviation gasoline.Benzene being classed as a toxic material, knowledge of its concentration is an aid in evaluating the possible health hazard that people handling and using gasoline are exposed to. The analyser can be used to determine benzene between concentration levels of 0.1 and 5 volume % and determination of toluene between levels of 0.5 and 20 volume %. The full analysis is completed within 8 minutes. Btex AnalyserThe analyser is configured for continuous monitoring of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene isomers. Alongwith a photo lonization Detector (PID), this instrument can be configured for unattended operation and does not required a cryogenic attachment. A complete analytical cycle takes approximately 15 minutes in the isothermal condition. The RGA performs complicated separations of light hydrocarbons and permanent gases from refinery gas in single injection (C61 to C5 saturates and unsaturates with the initials backflush of C6+). Excellent separation of C3 and C4 unsaturates and near baseline separation of iso-butylene and i-butene indicates the quality of the analyser. Stimulated Distillation Analyser - SimdistThe Simulated Distillation Analyser (SDA) is used to simulate distillation of hydrocarbons with Final Boiling Point (FBP) of 5500C. Designed for ASTM Methods D2887 and D3710, this analyser can also be offered for FBP of 7500C. The system comes along with the powerful SimDis Expert software. All simulated distillations are supported in one application. The ASTM and non- ASTM methods available are D-2887, D-3710, D-5307, LUBE and Crude by external standard.
