"Green Dot" established in the year 1979 is the venture of a technocrat with 40 years experience in the line. The company has been on the fore front in quality of this product in the line with exclusively developed manufacturing processes and techniques and state of engineering art. The highly motivated and committed work force, of engineers & technicians in planning, design, manufacturing, & R & D is the biggest asset the company has been able to achieve.
The products fall in following discrete fields.
1.Toroidal transformers in virgin form as general purpose transformers. These transformers use CRGO silicon steel in the direction of rolling & thus have minimum of losses as a gene. These have low weight to power ratio & use class F insulations.
2.The Excellent use of these transformer coils is further made use to produce our dimmer dot variable transformers. Excellence gained in dimmer dot variable transformers is the result of highly dedicated efforts aimed to produce the World''s best product conceiving the idea of heat sink technology to dissipate the heat generated at carbon brush points which bye far are most vulnerable sub Component of a variable transformer. A variable transformer always works with shorted transformer turns & the heat generated due to the
a.Shorted turns, voltage per turn shorted through carbon brush producing copper loss due to shorted turn.
b.Carbon brush contact resistance &
c.The self sorted turn length of winding on account of length of carbon moving on the Winding.
and all the three factors create heating at carbon brush points & the shorted copper winding turns capability to dissipate this heat limits the sizes & capacities in which these units can be made.
i.The heat sink technology concept adopted dissipates the heat generated on account of all three factors at / on carbon brush points - to produce a long lived, highly reliable variable A.C voltage source to output voltage output a pure replica of sine wave input. In factor in Electrical Engineering jargons, there is no other way of getting more convenient & pure variable A.C supply as pure as input supply.
ii.The mechanical perfections adopted have further infused self adjusting & self aligning carbon brush holders & hard cut & ground carbon brush track super finished on the lines of grinding adopted in Optical line.
iii.The coil mounting technique is improvised by holding the coils by studs internally fixed in the CRGO cores. That saves the coils from damages during transportation etc.
