Comparator Stands - Round Anvil![]() This range of Comparators with a round anvil are especially useful for fast and efficient dimensional inspection on production parts. The Comparator stand comprises of a heavy duty base made from close grained cast iron precisely ground and machined providing a totally flat surface. The round anvil with a diameter of 2.3/8" (60 mm) is hardened to 55-60HRC and ground for high accuracy. The flatness of the working face of the anvil is controlled to within 0.00008" (2 microns). The longitudinal slide can be adjusted to different positions using the knurled steel knob. It moves along the ground steel pillar which is at accurate right angles to the base. The range includes 2 models which incorporate a fine adjustment feature that allows for greater ease and accuracy in setting up jobs. All models are supplied without a Dial Gauge.
