Industrial Tools - Adjustable Hand Reamers

Industrial Tools - Adjustable Hand Reamers
The Groz range of Adjustable Hand Reamers are extremely useful precision tools for any engineering or auto-repair shop. Just 16 sizes cover diameters ranging from 3/8" — 2.7/32" (9.5 mm — 56.35 mm).

These are ideal for use on steel or nonferrous metals.

The reamer blades are made from High Speed Steel, accurately hardened to 60 - 64 HRC and relief ground. Each adjustable reamer has a chamfer or lead on the front end of diameter 0.004" - 0.019" according to size, which helps to make a quick start in reaming operation.

Reamers expand by loosening one adjusting nut and tightening the other. Using Reamers 1. Remove only a small amount of metal approx 0.002" (0.05 mm) per cut. 2. It is better to use two small cuts rather than one large one as a larger cut can strain the reamers. 3. When cutting soft material hone the cutting edge.

Precision Vices - Toolmakers Steel Vices

Precision Vices - Toolmakers Steel Vices
Manufactured from selected tool steel, these solid one piece vices are fully hardened (55-60 HRC) and tempered to ensure stability and durability. All vice surfaces are precision ground.

The movable jaw is slightly narrow than the base enabling the vices to be used on either sides in addition to the base. Due to their outstanding accuracies these vices are mainly used in tool manufacturing, on grinding, milling, engraving and jig boring machines for measurement and inspection work and in manufacturing processes that require highest standards of clamping accuracy.

These are available in two models:

Screwless Type

The rapid positioning notches allow the vice to be locked in any position by means of an allen key provided with the vice. Vee grooves in the sliding jaw, both horizontal and vertical, facilitate holding of round jobs. Jaw pressure on work piece is forward and downward for repeatable positioning and maximum holding power.

These vices are particularly suitable for erosion work.

Screw Type

Clamping and releasing is through a threaded spindle with precision cut square threads for smooth operation. Vice spindle moves in a specially designed gun metal bush which reduces wear thus enhancing the life of the vice.

Spring Calipers & Dividers

Spring Calipers & Dividers
Amongst the oldest comparative measuring tools, Calipers are designed for taking transfer measurement or for comparing external and internal measurement. Dividers are used for marking on steel or for transferring measurement from master templates. Divider points are hardened for increased wear resistance

Manufactured from high grade steel with a polished finish, the legs pivot on a roller and are tensioned by a bow spring. Measuring adjustment is via an adjusting nut that allow fine settings. Measuring capacity/ Size is the distance between the fulcrum and the end of the leg.

These are available in two types: 1.With Solid Nut
2.With Quick Nut the threads of the split quick adjusting nut engage the screw at the slightest pressure of the leg and when the pressure is withdrawn, the nut releases itself sliding freely over the screw. This feature have save valuable time in opening & closing when a variety of measurements have to be taken consecutively.
