Following is our list of Degreasers :

THELNIKAL HD (Heavy Duty Hot Alkaline Degreaser)

  • THELNIKAL HD is formulated to remove heavy coatings of oil, etc., normally encountered in fabrication of steel sheets.
  • THELNIKAL HD bath chemical functions as a 5% solution, at optimum operating temperature range of 75 ± 5 Deg.
  • Duration of dip: Normally about 20 minutes. But, the duration of dip will depend upon the type and degree of superficial contamination on the components. The user industry will know the duration after working a few workloads.
  • The bath chemical should be agitated for satisfactory and quick degreasing.

THELNIKAL LD (Light Duty Alkaline Degreaser)

  • THELNIKAL LD Is specially formulated to effectively remove thin oil, grease etc. which are not of the drying type from both ferrous & non ferrous surfaces.
  • Removes thin wet films which are not of the drying type; the oil film may have accumulated superficial dust and soils, which have settled on the surface in storage.
  • Bath chemical functions as a 5% solution, in the optimum temperature range of room temperature (20 deg. c) to 60 deg.

THELNIKAL-SP (Alkaline Spray Degreaser)

  • THELNIKAL-SP is specially formulated to effectively remove thin oil, grease and other superficial impurities etc. which are not of the drying type from both Ferrous surfaces by spraying.
  • PARAMETER FOR SPRAY PROCESS - Concentration 20 Kgs. of chemical dissolved in water for every 1000 litre bath working volume. Dwell time 120 to 180 seconds

Defiance (Phosphoric Acid Based Derusting Chemical)

Salient Features:

  • Removes thin films of wet oil and other superficial impurities from cold rolled mild steel components, cast iron surfaces, forged components, machined surfaces etc.
  • Removes light to medium rust and certain types of welding and heat-treatment scales.
  • Leaves the treated surface in a relatively passivated condition
  • Performs AT Room Temperature (25 Deg
  • Defiance effectively treats
          o Cold rolled cold annealed steel sheets,
          o Hot rolled steel sheets/plates etc. From which mill scale has been removed;
          o Angles iron, round and square steel tubes used in storage racks, bus and lorry bodies etc.
          o Machined steel surfaces.
          o Cast iron and forged components. (Ideally suited for this function.)

Hot Pursuit

  • To clean both ferrous and non ferrous surfaces
  • Hot pursuit is based on mixture acids, for the treatment of
          o hot rolled steel sheets/plates etc,
          o cold rolled cold annealed steel surfaces;
          o aluminium sheet metal and castings.
          o brass and copper components.
          o removes thin films of wet oil and grease from ferrous and non ferrous surfaces;
          o removes millscale, rust and certain types of welding/ heat-treatment scales from ferrous surfaces,
          o removes chemical impurities from aluminium, brass and copper surfaces.
          o leaves the surface free from chemical impurities.
          o The components should be thoroughly rinsed and taken up for the next step in the process without delay

Pedigree (Proprietary Derusting Chemical Based On A Mixture Of Acids)

Salient Features:

  • Functions at room temperature (20 deg. c)
  • Removes thin, wet films of oil, grease etc;
  • Removes mill scale,
  • Removes certain types of heat-treatment scales, and welding scales.
  • Does not leave any smut.
  • But leaves the surface free from rust & mill scale.
  • Does not produce fumes as a product of reaction between the chemical and the metal; but there will be slight smell, which can be sucked and blown away through hoods suitably placed above the pickling tank.

Classic Coat (A classic rust remover)

Salient Features:

  • Removes thin wet films of oil, grease etc.
  • Removes rust from steel components, especially machined surfaces of cast iron and forged components, reinforcement steel rods, slotted angles, ERW tubes etc. used in bus body construction etc.
  • Forms a complex phosphate coating, which retards, to a remarkable degree, formation of rust.

Iron Phosphating: VANGUARD ISP

Salient Features:


  • Removes thin films of oil
  • Forms a light amorphous iron phosphate coating on ferrous and steel components.
  • Frms zinc phosphate coating on galvanized steel surfaces by converting a part of the zinc surface into an integral zinc phosphate coating.
  • Frms aluminium phosphate coating on aluminium surfaces. the phosphate coatings so formed will be a good base for subsequent liquid painting and powder coating.
  • My be used as 3-stage, or 5-stage, depending upon type and degree of oils and superficial impurities.
  • My be used by dip process, or by spray process
  • In spray process, dwell time is 60 to 120 seconds.
  • In dip process, duration of dip is 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Build-up of iron phosphate coating: 50 to 60 mg./sq.ft.
  • Build-up` of zinc phosphate coating on galvanized steel surfaces will be around 50 -150 mg/sq.ft.
  • Build-up of aluminium phosphate coating: 50 to 100 mg./sq.ft.

Zinc phosphating: ZINPOFOR ZS (For both dip and spray)

Salient Features:


  • Gives light, smooth, dense, crystalline zinc phosphate coating, firmly adherent to, and integral with the surface being treated.
  • The build up of the coating is around: 100 to 400 mg/s.ft. the treated surface is ideal for liquid painting and powder coating for dip :
  • Used at 5% concentration. dip duration 5 to 8 minutes. for spray:
  • Used at 2% concentration. dip duration 90 to 180 seconds.
  • Used at room temperature and can be heated up to 60 deg centigrade. calcium modified

Zinc Phosphating: VANGUARD RC

Salient Features:

  • Functions at temperature range of: 65 to 70 deg. c
  • In about 3 to 5 minutes' of dip duration,
  • forms velvet-smooth, dense, very hard and crystalline calcium modified zinc phosphate coating. zn2ca(po4)2.2h2o
  • Coating wt: between 250 and 400 mg/s.ft
  • Ideal base for subsequent painting liquid paint, powder coating,
  • Ced calcium in phosphating acts as the in-built grain refiner in the phosphating bath and hence eliminates the need for a separate activation or a titanium pre-rinse step. thus, the introduction of calcium not only results in the formation of coatings of good quality, but also contributes to the economy of the process through the elimination of the pre-rinse process stage.

Heavy Zinc & Manganese Phosphating Chemicals

Heavy Zinc phosphating: DUROPHOS-25

Salient Features:


  • DUROPHOS-25 ( Zinc ) Functions as a 3.54% solution,
  • At optimum operating temperature of 87 2 Deg. C
  • Gives heavy, absorptive zinc phosphate coating, which may be oiled, waxed or given a coat of liquid paint for outstanding corrosion resistance.
  • Coating wt: between 1000 and 2500 mg/sft
  • Duration of dip 10 to 30 minutes.


DUROPHOS-M (Manganese phosphating)

Salient Features:

  • Functions as a 10% solution,
  • At optimum operating temperature of 92 to 98 Deg. C.
  • Produces smooth, crystalline, highly porous, manganese-iron phosphate coatings
  • Build-up of coating weight: 1500 to 4000 mg/ s.ft.

ALUGOLD:


  • Chromate conversion coating ALUPHOS: single shot cleaner and surface preparation for aluminium

ALULCOAT NC:

  • A non chromate coating alugold chromating chemical designed to treat aluminium, and its alloys
  • ALUGOLD gives yellow chromate coating, giving low coating weight and higher conductivity; the corrosion resistance is very good, and provides a good adhesion base for paint film, whether it is powder coating or liquid painting.
  • ALUGOLD is used as a 3% solution;
  • Functioning at Room Temperature (25oC)
  • Dip duration: 3 to 5 minutes.


ALULCOAT NC (Chrome-Free Zinc-Zirconium Phosphating For Aluminium Surfaces)

  • Aluminium is normally given a `chrome finish` before it is painted or powder coated. Even though the process of chromating is a proven one, it is generally preferred to have a chrome free treatment, to reduce the severe pollution hazards caused by chrome.
  • ALUCOAT NC is a chrome-free treatment for aluminium.
  • It gives zinc-zirconium phosphate coating
          o As base on Aluminium surfaces for subsequent liquid paint or powder coatings,
          o As base for subsequent drawing of aluminium components.
          o As base for subsequent painting/powder coating Is made up as a 5% solution; Functioning at Room Temperature (25oC)
  • Dip duration: 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Build up of coating: 2 to 4 g/m2.
