About UsP.Venkat Raman, a pioneering entrepreneur founded GMT in 1959 for manufacture of engineering products of high quality. He provided solutions to various import substitution problems. His collaborative work with top level professors at IIT, Madras, generated in methods of surface plate calibration. This tradition continues to this day with the company's on-going interactions with Universities in India, England, France and Germany.
