The parent company Gupta Machine Tools Ltd. was a pioneering venture in early 60s with its first unit Precision Tools & Instruments, Calcutta manufacturing gauges, gear cutting tools, steering worms etc. The unit was essentially a sophisticated tool room and machining center. Precision Stampings came up next.
Gupta Machine Tools Ltd. also provided Technical know how to a Malaysian company for the manufacture of gauges, tools, stampings and lamination.
In the year 2004 the company has set up a new Greenfield project at Sanaswadi (Pune) to manufacture laminations (Precision Stampings Unit 3). The company also has a sister unit by the name of Goa Precision Stampings (P) ltd. In Goa that is producing wound stators and rotors for fan application. In 2007 - 2008 the company has invested in new factory for export which is now fully operational.
In 2009 the company has started a new Shaft manufacturing company by the name of Precision Shafts Pvt. Ltd. This new enterprise has been setup to support motor manufacturing industry in India as well as overseas customers.
