Gurit is a global leader in the development and manufacture of advanced composite materials and solutions. Advanced composites combine the properties of different materials to create an end product that features significant performance advantages over traditional materials such as wood, steel or aluminium. Typically the arrangement is a reinforcement material such as carbon, glass or aramid fibre combined with a specially formulated resin system. Pre-impregnated composite materials – so called prepregs – are a key product specialty of Gurit and combine fibres and resin matrices as an easy-to-apply intermediate material. Additional components of our composite material solutions include structural foam products, formulated resins, adhesives and gel coats. The unparalleled combination of features such as minimal weight, maximal stability and stiffness as well as almost unlimited design properties make composites the materials of choice for a rising number of applications today and in the future.
