About UsH5 Organics India private Limited is based in Coimbatore, India, started in the year 2006. At H5 we are glad that we are part of the Organic movement, playing our role in the transition towards sustainable agriculture. The present activity of the company is to produce and make available reliable and consistent inputs (manures) for organic agriculture. We now have H5 brand of Vermicompost, Neem cake and Panchakavyam. Through continuous research the manures are being improved and enriched. Excluding the last few decades, organic agriculture has been the only form of agriculture practiced on the planet. Under its simplest definition, organic agriculture is farming without synthetic chemicals. After the Second World War, however, there was a movement towards mechanization and homogenization of farming. Larger and increasingly automated farms spread across the landscape, and these "factory farms" put the synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and mass-rearing techniques developed in the 1920s into widespread use. As concerns continue to grow about damage to our soil, water and air from conventional farming, about the health consequences of pesticides in food and the environment, and about genetically modified ingredients in the food supply; demand for organic foods is growing. With the support of consumers, producers, businesspeople and governments, organic and sustainable agriculture has fought its way back into the world's conscious and challenged chemical-intensive farming. |
