Karana 60 of 108, shiva dancing the wild tandava dance 12" is one of best sculptures. It depicts shiva holding agni or fire in his hand and a dhamru or drum. The other two hands are free for performing his dance posture. The statue is clothed in a simple lion cloth, necklaces & assorted jewelry and head dress has a small crescent moon and goddess ganga. There is a small bell wrapped around his right calf. The statue is intricately carved with each finger and jewel. these statues can be custom made as required by our clients. kali challenged shiva to a dancing contest on the condition that the loser had to leave the forest
the contest was judged by lord vishnu
the dance contest went on for hours with every one of shiva's dance postures being matched by kali
shiva performed a posture with his left leg lifted over his head in the ananda thandavam exposing his genital area
kali, being a respectable woman, was unable to go into this compromising position
kali admitted defeat and left the forest

He is a vanara or "human with the tail of a monkey" who helped lord rama, an avatar of vishnu, in rescuing his consort, sita, from the rakshasa king ravana. The statue depicts hanuman standing with his hands together in respect in adoration of rama. He is known for his faithful and steadfast service to rama as told in the ramayana epic.
