    For treatment of VOCs and air pollutants and for recovery of sulphur by processing of acidic gases:

    Haat has special thermal oxidizers designed for direct combustion of waste gases from various processes such as printing presses, paint booths, distillation of waste oil and particularly thermal reactors in sulphur recovery units for acidic gases. The direct fired thermal oxidizer is preferred for high concentration waste gas streams and provides high destruction efficiencies.


    Construction:

    The thermal oxidizer / reactor is made of special components including high grade refractory which will withstand attack from acidic and corrosive gases. The entire unit can be skid mounted with a stainless steel rain shield.


    Special features:

    Operational temperature sensitive paints can be used to indicate possible erosion of refractory after many years to use. The shell can be designed as per relevant ASME sections and will have all internal and external attachments welded to the shell along with nozzle connections for instrumentation. Post weld heat treatment can be done if required.


    Waste heat recovery:

    This type of thermal oxidizer is a direct fired type. The large amount of heat generated can be recovered for generation of steam or hot air for heating other fluids.

    This incinerator’s design is unique as the flue gas after incineration of waste passes through a sub-merged water tank before being sent to the air pollution control system.  Liquid reclaimed waste is fed from a waste storage tank and atomized with the help of plant air or steam and sprayed from the top of the vertical incinerator chamber.  The burner is placed closed to the location of the waste spray entry and flue gases pass through a water tank and then pass through a wet scrubbing system.

    Rated for continuous use

    The incinerator and its components are designed for round the clock operation and the selection of special refractory, heavy duty pumps and blowers is done accordingly, ensuring that waste generated from the CDR unit is continuously processed.

    Low NOX emission

    The reclaimed waste consists of a number of amines and can generate high NOX values.  Therefore, urea solution of a particular percentage is fed into the reclaimed waste tank before the mixture is sprayed into the incinerator.  This urea supply can be intermittent and inter locked to NOX level continuously measured in the incinerator stack.

    Rotary kiln incinerators are known for high efficiencies when it comes to handling of sewage sludge, production residues, sludge from waste water treatment, solid and liquid wastes (including halogenated types) and off gases.

    Rotary kiln incinerators are versatile and can handle all kinds of waste even if they are pasty or in slurry form.

    Large quantities of sludge and municipal waste require continuous operation of the incineration system.  The technology assures very high performance for materials with very high moisture content and low heating value and material with low moisture and high heating value.  Homogenization of the waste is caused by the rotating primary chamber of the rotary kiln incinerator and progressing of the waste in the kiln which transforms to sterile ash from the charging point up to the ash discharge device.

    Classic bubbling bed combustion process

    Haat offers fluidized bed incinerators with Swiss technology.  The fluidized bed combustor is a refractory lined vertical shell.  Incineration is by the classic bubbling fluidized bed combustion process with the sludge being mixed by the sand and burnt with the assistance of the combustion air.  The bed is supplied with preheated primary air for fluidization and assistance in combustion of heavies remaining in the bed.


    High residence time for volatile gases

    The combustion chamber will have sufficient residence time for incineration of volatile matter in an after burning zone.  Secondary air is added to the free board in order to achieve full burn out of the flue gas completing the combustion started in the fluidized bed.

    Fluidized beds are known for their efficiency in incinerating large quantities of sludge or municipal waste which provide excellent destruction and removal of organic content due to the fluidization of the sand bed which is constantly mixed and agitated with the help of air.
