HaloSource is a leading clean water and antimicrobial technology company that is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, United States, and has operations in India and China. The company is focused on the provision of cleaner, clearer, safer water: Its proprietary HaloPure BR N-halamine bead technology cleans and purifies drinking water, killing bacteria and viruses that may cause disease. While HaloPure provides safer drinking water, HaloSource¿s SeaKlear and StormKlear products use technologies based on natural biopolymers to provide water clarification and antimicrobial applications for recreational and environmental water. Halo Shield forms the active ingredient that imparts antimicrobial properties to textiles. HaloSource is founded on a strong and rapidly expanding intellectual property portfolio. N-halamines, used in the HaloPure and HaloShield business units, harness the power of chlorine and bromine for drinking water and antimicrobial treatments. Chitosan and complementary biopolymer chemistries, used in the StormKlear and SeaKlear business units, bind sediments and other pollutants or impurities in water so they can be filtered out. As a result, these products can be used to treat recreational water, industrial water, construction site runoff and other wastewater, or meet other water-recycling needs. In 2006, HaloPure-powered solutions launched in India in partnership with Eureka Forbes, India's leading provider of home water purifiers. In early 2008, a partnership was formed with Chanitex, a leading Chinese water treatment company, and growing numbers of drinking-water manufacturers worldwide now use HaloPure BR technology in a variety of consumer product applications.
