• Solubility: 39% in water (Weight, @16 °C)

Application:

• Bleaching agent (e.g. candies, cake) loose agent (e.g. bread, cracker, etc).
• Antiseptic and germicide (e.g. fruit juice, tinned food, etc).
• Inhibitor and freshening agent (e.g. day lily, seafood, fruit and vegetable, etc).

Sodium bi-sulfite, also known as sodium hydrogen sulphite, is a clear, colourless to yellowish solution having an adequate percentage of sulphur di oxide. It is a strong reducing agent which finds wide application in various industries. It's molecular formula is NaHSO₃ with a CAS No. of 7631-90-5. This chemical has a density of 1.48 gcm³. It is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and strong acids.
