Our Work Methodology
All the paintings prepared by us are master pieces and themselves speak about the expert craftsmanship and artistic designs. The innovative concepts and the ideas 'and' arranged in such a manner so that an altogether unique creation can be made. Our production methodology involves two steps:

  • The Surface Preparation: This is the most essential step as the surface preparation is an essential component in these paintings. The paintings surface is made using lime (mortar), dry sand, molasses and water of tender coconut. There must be no grease, wax or oil on the surface and the surface needs to be structurally sound and free of loose particles.

  • Color Preparation: The colors which are used for making these paintings are also prepared by experts so that only the desired amount of coloration can be provided. Five colors(pancha varna) namely yellowacher, Indian red, Indigo, Sabgreen and lampblack are generally used. Yellow color is obtained from soft laterite soil. Blue color is made from the essence of indigo leaves. Green color is obtained by mixing and grinding blue color with the sap of the plant called 'eravi'. Black is obtained from burning cotton dipped in sesame oil. The colors will be applied many times for getting color depth for the painting. The arrow grass is used for making brushes. The frail part of the grass is removed and fastened together after wetting to make a brush.
