Oxytocin is a synthetic nonapeptide. It is an oxytocic agent that, when
given in appropriate doses during pregnancy, is capable of eliciting
graded increases in uterine motility from a moderate increase ihe rate
and force of spontaneous motor activity to sustained tetanic
contraction.

Leuprolide acetate is a potent LHRH agonist. After a transient
increase, continuous administration results in down-regulation of LH and
FSH levels followed by a suppression of ovarian and testicular steroid
biosynthesis.

Desmopressin is a synthetic analog of vasopressin with low vasopressor
activity. Apart from its increasing effect on water resorption by the
kidney, it raises plasma level of factor VIII and Wilebrand factor.
Application : Nocturnal enuresis, Central diabetes insipidus,
polyria, polydipsia, mild and moderate form of hemophilia A and von
Willebrand disease.

Gonadorelin is also known as LHRH. After a transient increase,
continuous administration result in down regulation of LH & FSH
level followed by a suppression of ovarian and testicular steroid
biosynthesis
Application : Diagnosis of the hypothalamic pituitary axis
function, Cryptorchism, used in reproduction medicine, Ovarian
follicular cysts.
