| We offer a designer range of Gharcholas saris that is fabricated using silk and zari thread. After fabrication, it is either block printed or tie-dyed to enhance the beauty of sari. The Gharcholas sris are very popular in Gujarat but the weaving technique of the Gharchola silk saris first came from the region around cambay. In Gujarat, these are highly demanded for wedding and other social and religious events. The most famous garcholas come in combination of red and white colors with small golden motifs. However, the most common motifs used in the gharchola saris from surat are those of peacocks and lotus. The saris are dyed in the Jamnagar area of Gujarat to add color is added to the silk after the weaving. We prefer Jamnagar for dying purpose as the quality of water is excellent. Rajkot in saurashtra is also an important place for the fabrication of gharcholas saris. |
