HITCON Shaft Mounted Speed Reducer provides a very convenient method of reducing speed, since it is mounted directly on the driven shaft instead of requiring foundations of its own. It eliminates (1) the use of one, and sometimes two, flexible couplings and (2) external belt take-up arrangement.

A very wide choice of final driven speed can be determined by the use of an appropriate input V-Belt drive, The units will normally be oil lubricated, but they are equally suitable for "lubricated for life" greases.

"HITCON" Shaft Mounted Speed Reducer consists of hardended precision - machined alloy steel Helical Gears mounted on micro finish Shafts supported on long life precision bearings with the capacity to handle maximum loading. The two - pieces close Grain C. I. Housing provides sturdy support and insures permanent accurate alignment of all components.
