Gauzes are used in the conversion of Ammonia to Nitric Acid and in the manufacture of Hydrogen Cyanide. At Hindustan Platinum, we manufacture catalyst gauzes of Pt/Rh alloy, both woven as well as WEFT knitted. We have an active collaboration with dmc2 (formerly, Degussa-Huls), Germany for knitted gauzes. We can manufacture seamless knitted gauzes up to even 4.5metres in diameter. Due to its 3-D structure, our gauzes offer greater surface area for increased catalytic activity. This leads to longer campaigns and greater conversion efficiencies at your plant.

We also manufacture a wide array of catalysts which are indispensable to the chemical and pharmaceutical industries We provide a wide range of catalysts, supported and unsupported. Some of the standard supported catalysts are: * Palladium on charcoal * Palladium hydroxide on charcoal * Palladium on Calcium Carbonate * Palladium on Barium Sulfate * Platinum on charcoal * Rhodium on charcoal Amongst unsupported catalysts, we manufacture a range of metal oxides and their 'Blacks' such as: * Platinum Oxide * Platinum/Rhodium Oxide * Palladium Oxide * Silver oxide

We manufacture precious metal spinnerettes ranging from 1 hole up to 2200 holes in a cup diameter of about half an inch. Each spinnerette, manufactured as per customers' requirements, is within tolerances as tight as half a micron in diameter

We also make Silver gauzes for manufacturers of Acetic acid. These gauzes having a wire diameter of 0.35 mm and a wire mesh of 20-mesh/linear inch are woven to width as per specifications provided by the customer. The purity of Silver used for manufacture of the gauzes is greater than 99.9%.

We manufacture precious metal sputter targets, for the watch, jewelry and electronic data storage industries. We have a technical collaboration with Engelhard-CLAL, another world leader in precious metal technology, for bimetallic or clad targets. Our dedicated team of engineers, which has received training from Engelhard-CLAL, ensures high quality coating which results in cost saving. The targets are in a wide range of sizes and shapes to suit individual manufacturers' machine designs. These can be solid or cladded. We also offer full cycle refining through our own highly efficient refining facilities. This spells maximum recovery of precious metal from spent targets. This, in effect, means greater returns to you.

Backed by technology from Engelhard-CLAL, we manufacture both clad as well as unclad stirrers used in the glass industry. At our plant, we have a complete setup for manufacture of both evacuated and non-evacuated stirrers. Be it paddle stirrers, stirrer bars, homogenizing stirrers, gobbing stirrers, we make them all.

Laser welded bushings allow for complete flexibility affording the customer all opportunities for their trials of new design.

We manufacture apparatus used largely in laboratories for analytical purposes. They comprise mainly of Crucibles, Dishes, Electrodes, and Tongs. These are made from platinum and platinum alloyed with rhodium/iridium or even gold as per customer requirements

We also manufacture brazing alloys, containing silver ranging from 2% to 93% for joining ferrous, non-ferrous and dissimilar metals and alloys.

Our contacts are made as per customer requirements and specifications, taking into consideration: * The electrical design factors like magnitude of current and voltage, type of load and contact protection * The mechanical design factors, frequency of speed of operations i.e., number of make or break operations, chatter, width of contact gap and wipe * The environmental factors such as emission of gases and fumes on oxidation foreign contaminants and impurities, temperature and humidity * The economic factors. In other words, the cost of the contact to the customer and its reduction thereby by reducing the proportion of noble metals. thermocouples are produced from high purity materials to maintain accuracy between the relation of temperature and e.m.f (electro motive force) values of international standards We manufacture temperature sensing products that provide better process control, consistent product and improved energy conservation. We manufacture thermocouple wires, wires for resistance thermometers, throwaway tips, alpha wires and fine wires up to 0.030mm diameter for accurate temperature sensing.

We provide contact material in semi-finished forms-round and flat, wires, sheets and strips used in the electrical and electronic industries.

As the starting material for production of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, Hindustan Platinum manufactures various precious metal salts and their solutions. The most common amongst these are : * Chloroplatinic acid * Gold chloride * Palladium acetate * Palladium chloride * Palladium diammine dichloride * Potassium tetrachloroplatinate * Rhodium iodide * Rhodium nitrate * Rhodium sulphate * Rhodium trichloride hydrate * Silver nitrate In addition to the above compounds, we also supply tailor-made precious metal compounds according to the customer's requirements.
