| ProductsLead Wool![]() Lead Wool, a form of caulking lead, is long, fine strands of chemical grade lead which is twisted into 5/8” rope for use in various applications and is available in 50 kgs bags. The lead wool is used to seal flanged connections, cast iron, cement and earthenware pipes, and apertures of walls and ceilings. It is ideal for filling openings where sheet, plate, or brick are not suitable and is positively the best way to fill crevices.It is more convenient to use lead. wool than molten lead for caulking purposes because it requires no heating or pouring. Very good ductility of lead ensures fast and easy filling and sealing of small slots too. It is also convenient for anti-radiation protection. The lead resistance to aggressive environment is a warranty of long-term durability of seal. Lead wool is made by scratching fine strands from the surface of a lead disc. It is used for the caulking of joints in large pipes e.g. gas mains and in some specialist batteries Lead Brick -01![]() Lead Bricks are produced in a wide range of sizes in the plain and the interlocking styles. The smooth surfaces of Lead Bricks allow for easier decontamination of the shield from radioactive dust. Lead Bricks are normally produced from about 4 per cent Antimony Lead alloy, which is harder than Pure Lead, and more resistant to damage.Any rays that penetrate the first angle of the interlocking joint will actually strike an equal or greater depth of lead than the straight thickness of the wall. Lead Sheet![]() We can manufacture Lead Sheet from .5mm to 50mm thickness, lenght upto 30' ft and width upto 6' ft depening on the thickness. There are three composition options: pure or chemical lead, antimonial lead and calcium lead. We also offers custom alloys to meet your specifications. Lead sheet, its uniform density, high atomic number, level of stability, ease of fabrication, high degree of flexibility in application, and its availability at reasonable cost are principal factors. Rolled lead sheet is formed by passing a slab of refined lead back and forth on a rolling mill between closing rollers to a predetermined thickness. The sheet is then slit to width and cut to length for final packing and distribution. Such is the consistency of the process that lead sheet will not vary in thickness by more than +/- 5% at any given point. Lead sheet is a construction material of major importance in chemical and related industries because lead resists attack by a wide range of chemicals. Lead sheet is also used in building construction for roofing and flashing, shower pans, flooring, x-ray and gamma-ray protection, and vibration damping and soundproofing. Sheet for use in chemical industries and building construction is made from either pure lead or 6% antimonial lead. Calcium-lead and calcium-lead-tin alloys are also suitable for many of these applications. Lead-Antimony Alloys![]() By far the biggest use of lead-antimony alloys is in batteries. Trends have varied over the years. At one time, antimony levels of around 10% were common but the current generation of lead-acid batteries has a much lower level. Lead-antimony alloys with antimony contents of between 1 and 12% are used widely in the chemical industry for pumps and valves on chemical plants and in radiation shielding both for lining the walls of X-ray rooms and for bricks to house radioactive sources in the nuclear industry. The addition of antimony to lead increases lead's hardness and therefore its resistance to physical damage without greatly reducing its corrosion resistance. Lead Anode![]()

They are highly corrosion resistant. Seamless pipe made from lead and lead alloys is readily fabricated by extrusion. Due to it's corrosion resistant and flexibility they are still used for carriage of corrosive chemicals at chemical plants. Pipe for these applications is made from either chemical lead or 6% antimonial lead. Also lead pipe of appropriate composition is still extruded for cutting into short length 'sleeves' for use in the jointing of lead sheathed cables. Lead Rod![]() Lead is a very soft, heavy metal with a bright bluish white luster when freshly cut, but tarnishes to dull gray when exposed to air. It is toxic, highly malleable, ductile, and a poor conductor of electricity. Lead is very resistant to corrosion; that's why lead pipes bearing the insignia of Roman emperors, used as drains from the baths, are still in service. It is used in containers for corrosive liquids (such as sulfuric acid) and may be toughened by the addition of a small percentage of antimony or other metals.
