Clear of touts leading you to the dozen or so 'tourist information
centres' across the road from New Delhi train station. None of them are
tourist offices as such, despite bold cliams to the contrary; they are
simply travel agencies , and many are simply out of fierce unsuspecting
visitors - both foreign & Indian .
If you are going to make a booking at the foreign tourist booking office at the station you may well be approached by touts from these shops who will insist the office you want is closed and try to steer you to the shonky travel agencies and rake off ahefty commission. Don't be tempted by offers of cheap bus fares or hotels |
