About UsHT Burda Media Ltd. is a joint venture between HT Media Ltd., India, and Burda Druck GmbH, Germany. Pioneers in their respective fields, together, both partners bring over 100 years of experience in printing.
HT Media Ltd. is a major newspaper company with 21 plants in India. It had its beginning in 1924, when its flagship newspaper The Hindustan Times was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. The Hindustan Times (English) and the Hindustan (Hindi) have a combined daily circulation of 2.25 million copies and a readership base of 12.4 million readers to their credit. Both dailies enjoy a strong brand recognition among readers and advertisers.
To cater to the large readership base, HT Media operates 21 printing facilities across India with an installed capacity of 1.5 million copies per hour.
HT Media Ltd. also publishes a national business newspaper, Mint. It is a one-of-its-kind newspaper wherein HT Media Ltd. has an exclusive agreement with The Wall Street Journal. HT Media through its subsidiaries has also made its foray into electronic media, i.e., FM Radio in partnership with "Virgin Radio" and in Internet business, incorporated under Firefly eventures.
Burda Druck GmbH is a part of the Hubert Burda Media Group which is a 2.5-billion euro company engaged in publishing and Rotogravure printing with annual capacity of 330,000 tonnes of paper. It has its presence in various segments such as Print, Publishing, TV Channels, Radio, Mobile, Online, E-Commerce, Events, Direct Marketing, Promotions and Research.
Burda Druck GmbH prints some of the world's leading magazines, catalogues and brochures such as Elle, Playboy, Focus and Lisa, which reflects very high level of quality of printing.
HT Burda Media Ltd. is a JV between HT Media Ltd., India, and Burda Druck GmbH, Germany. This is the first Rotogravure Printing installation in India; however, many large publications worldwide are being printed on Rotogravure for speed and quality. This facility is equipped to print large volume of magazines, catalogues, books for India and the rest of the world. The Pre press facility of HT Burda Media Ltd. is fully equipped to handle advertising campaign and magazine pre press work.
Two fully functional Rotogravure printing presses with paper back bindery have been established at a large facility near Delhi. The Pre press facility also located at the same premises is fully functional and doing work for Domestic and International customers.
In the last two months Indian customers such as Unitech Ltd., Cairn India Ltd. and Spicejet have been associated with HT Burda Media Ltd. for their printing jobs.
HT Burda Media Ltd. has already bagged two prestigious orders from a French company, Outiror, and a Swedish company IKEA, Sweden, involving conversion of 15,000 tonnes of paper in the first year. |
