These metal ball joint gas springs has five models 615,818.1021,1028 & 1428. These gas springs are fitted with swivel end fitting called as ball joint. There are different ball diameters & threads for the ball pin as per the model. Following is the information of metal ball joint available with us.

Our non lockable gas spring is a hydro-pneumatic adjusting element with pressure tube, piston rod, & end fittings. It contains high pressurized nitrogen. It has an extremely flat, nearly linear characteristic curve which facilitates uniform comfortable adjustment or pivoting movement. The high pressure nitrogen within the gas spring acts with equal pressure on surfaces having different cross-sectional area of piston. This produces a force in extension direction.       It is a gas spring which can be locked at any intermediate position of the stroke. It has a valve assembly internally, when one operates (presses) the actuating pin, it opens the valve simultaneously applies force on body then the piston rod starts going in & at a moment when force applied on actuating pin removes the valve gets closed which in turn stops the movement of the piston rod. It basically has two versions spring blocking and rigid blocking.

Similar to metal ball joint, plastic ball joint spring option is available for low force gas springs in 615 & 818 model. Here ball socket is in nylon material & ball pin is metallic. Ball socket has metallic clip to hold the ball pin.

It is a lockable gas spring which can be locked at any intermediate position of the stroke. • Spring Blocking:
Here oil and gas are in mixed condition. It shows some deflection when force is applied without pressing the actuating pin. The deflection depends on the force applied.
• Rigid Blocking:
Here oil & gas is separated by a separator & it shows very little or almost nil deflection when force applied with out pressing the actuating pin.

Ideal-lift has basic five models. These models are classified with respect to rod and tube diameter. These models are 615, 818, 1021, 1028, 1428 where 6 is rod diameter and 15 is tube diameter.
