About Us

IFP-Petro founded in 1977 in collaboration with IIP pioneered the used oil refining industry by establishing the first refining unit in North India. IFP provided customers with professional and quality service of re-refining used lubricating oil. Used oil was collected and recycled on turn key basis for various industries. The recovered base oil was also supplied to major oil companies like Castrol India Ltd and Tide Water Oil Co.Ltd. This innovative approach meant that customers were not generating hazardous waste; they enjoyed reduced regulatory burdens and diminished financial liabilities. Our customers responded enthusiastically to the recycling benefits and we quickly expanded into manufacturing with a major growth initiative in 2006, expanding our initial capacity of 500 tonnes to 6000 tonnes. Major oil companies like IOCL, HPCL and BPCL tapped into our refining capabilities for rectification of their water- contaminated oil. Large storage capacity to store raw material and finished product coupled with our strengths in customized processing and three decades of experience in lubricants culminated in our becoming contract packagers for IOCL and BPCL. IFP known for its active involvement in the field of conservation of petroleum products has actively worked towards organising the re-refining used oil industries and getting units registered. The Managing Director was the Convener of the Government appointment Task Force for lubricants in 2000. IFP-Petro has the distinction of being the first unit to be approved by the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Petroleum. Also approved by U.P. Pollution Control Board and Directorate of Industries.
