Our Team:

Mr. Vijay Agarwal – He was born in 1945 in Varanasi (UP). A BSC. from Benaras Hindu University, he moved to Calcutta in 1969 and co-founded the company Industrial Associates. The group under his guidance has grown and expanded to its current global presence. The group’s primary operations are in manufacturing and trading of refractory bricks, insulation materials and castables.

In 1973 Mr. Agarwal also formed the company Associated Industrial Furnaces Pvt. Ltd. Which specializes in manufacturing of furnaces for the aluminum industry. He has also earned extensive experience in the field of real estate and built a top-class shopping mall in the city of Benaras with an area of 140,000 sq. ft. Over the years he has expanded the group activities into all kinds of industrial products.

Mr. Sushil Agarwal – He was born in 1947 in Varanasi (UP). He finished his B Sc. From Benaras Hindu University (B.H.U.) and moved to Calcutta in 1970. He co-founded the company Industrial Associates along with Mr. Vijay Kumar. His vision has helped the group expand its activities into many technical and niche items. He has helped Industrial Associates build a strong supply-chain network, which is contributing immensely to the success of all group companies.

Mr. Agarwal also received his private pilot license from B.H.U. He is currently the President of the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce and lead many delegations overseas and within the states in India.

Mr. Saket Agarwal – Born in 1974 in Calcutta. He has finished his bachelors from Calcutta and joined the group in 1992. He has spearheaded the group’s activities by taking a lead in all of its marketing activities. He has helped the group expand in its refractory operations by bringing in many new customers and increasing the group’s turnover manifold.

Through his initiative and direct involvement the group has expanded into many real-estate ventures and retail operations. The group currently runs two franchisee stores for Raymond and owns assets in Calcutta, Orissa, Delhi and Varanasi.

Mr. Vinay Agarwal – Born in 1983 in Calcutta. He has finished his Bachelor of Science in Bio-Physics and Economics from Brandies University (Boston 2006). After this he joined Putnam Investments where he worked in the currency team. His primary responsibility was research in all of developed and Emerging market economies. Vinay joined the group in 2008. Being aggressive and visionary by nature he has founded the company Helios Green Energy Private Limited with primary operations in the solar energy space in India.

Along with this he is also handling the activities of the IA group in the refractory and real-estate division. He received his private pilot license from Boston and is a part of the Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.
