About Us

Originally incorporated as a Joint Venture company with Danfoss Denmark, which ended in 1991, Indfos is India's leading manufacturer of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Domestic Appliances and Industrial Controls. Starting with Thermostats for Domestic Refrigerators, the division has steadily added a diverse range of products to its portfolio. Over the past 40 years, the Indfos name has meant quality, versatility and reliability in the market place
TECHNOLOGY
Over the years the division has invested strongly in pressure and temperature sensor technologies. The division has acquired technologies for a variety of sensors like bellows , diaphragms , pistons and bimetals which are generally used to produce pressure and temperature controls. These technologies have been acquired from world leaders like Danfoss (Denmark), Texas Instruments( Holland) and Dresser Industries (USA) and are supplemented by the efforts and creativity our inhouse R&D efforts. The R&D department of the division is recognized by the Department Of Science and Technology, Government of India.
In order to utilize the various sensor technologies effectively, the division has strived to excel in manufacturing technologies also. All critical parts including metallic bellows used in Controls are made in-house under stringent quality norms. Latest assembly methods and test & calibration equipment are used. A well equipped standards room ensures the reliability of these equipment.
The versatility of technologies available with the Instrument and Control division has made Indfos a unique company, amongst only a few in the world which make products as diverse as Thermostats for Refrigerators to Pressure Switches for Nuclear Power Stations.

FACILITIES
The Division is located in the city of Ghaziabad, near Delhi in a 19,880 Sq. Mtr. facility and is an ISO-9001 certified unit. The facility is equipped with its own captive power plant, a modern workshop latest assembly, test & calibration equipment and standards room.
Metallic Bellows are used as the basic sensors in most of the Instruments and Controls produced by the Division. The division has its own seamless bellows manufacturing plant, which is the only plant of its kind in India. The plant produces seamless bellows in Phosphor Bronze and Stainless Steel construction
