Mr.Tambe started his career as a trader in industrial and fine chemicals in 1970. After 10 years of rich experience, Mr.Tambe took a wise decision at the right time to go for manufacturing Chemicals used in Drugs Industry. The group manufactures Diethyl Oxalate and Oxalic Acid. Diethyl Oxalate is manufactured by estrification of Oxalic Acid and Alcohol. Oxalic Acid is manufactured by oxidation of sugar with help of Nitric Acid in presence of sulphuric Acid using Vanadium Pentoxide as catalyst. S.R.Drugs was incorporated in 1982 to set up a plant to manufacture Diethyl Oxalate with a initial capacity of 240TPA. Later on, by research & development the capacity of the existing plant has been increased to 3600 TPA. Subsequently the plant for its raw material namely Oxalic Acid was set up in 1992 in the name of Indian Oxalate Ltd. and the production capacity of the plant is 7200 TPA. The plant of Oxalic Acid has not only ensured the regular supply of Oxalic Acid to S.R.Drugs Pvt. Ltd. for manufacturing of Diethyl Oxalate but there is also a tremendous demand for domestic as well as export market. The company is managed by a highly qualified team of Professionals, Chemical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers under dynamic guidance of Mr. R.E. Tambe and Mrs. S.R. Tambe. The company is utilizing optimum labour to achieve its full production capacity. The company has a well equipped in-house R & D Department with modern equipments like Gas Chromatograph etc. for testing of the raw materials, intermediate products and finished products. This plant is supported with a full fledged Effluent treatment plant where the Hydrated Lime is used for neutralization of Acidic water. The company is manufacturing finest quality of Oxalic Acid & Diethyl Oxalate which are well appreciated by domestic as well as overseas buyers.
