River Garnet Sand is given superior position as compared to sea garnet for its higher hardness of 8 moh. It is completely free from Chloride Conductivity and Radio active minerals as it is found from ‘fresh-water-sources’. As the grain is more 'sub-angular', it performs better during the blasting operation. Mined from the river bed of South India, it is basically the source of Almandine mineral deposit. Garnets are environmental friendly and are extremely abrasive and henceforth find variegated application in various industries. lmandine Garnet is the hardest and heaviest as compared to the other Garnets with high cutting speed and low dust levels. River garnet does not contain salt and is free from spark and dust.
