 Dr.D.Dhaya Devadas is the Founder Chairman and Managing director of Indian Garnet sand Co. (P) Ltd. He has also established 3 more Partnership firm, i.e.  SOUTHERN ENTERPRISES, GRACE MINERALS and BENGAL BAY BEACH MINERALS, which were started for mining and trading of Placer Minerals like Garnet, Ilmenite, Zircon, Rutile etc and made the company as one of the prominent and largest Placer Mineral Groups in India.

 His biggest strength is to his business strictly complying with the relevant Acts and Rule, which has made his company the loyal Garnet Mining Producer and Trader in India and to establish good contacts and name in the International Placer Minerals, particularly with respect to River Garnet Mineral. He has successfully explored the natural renewable river garnet resources in Tamilnadu for economical exploitation with viable and sustainable mining practices in Tamilnadu and also developed an indigenous processing technology for River Garnet with his vast experience in the field of Placer Mining Industry.

 He is the Founder President of Federation of Indian Placer Mineral Industries – a Section 25 company, where leading experts, scientists, State and Central Government of India officials, connected to Placer Mineral Industries are the Members. The main objective of the Federation is to protect the interests of the Indian Placer Mineral Industries and their Wealth.

 He is also the founder Director of Indo-International Christian Chamber of Commerce, where several top businessmen, retired top Officials, including Director of Reserve Bank are members. The Chamber had conducted several functions and honored several intellectuals. The said chamber of Commerce have sponsored 3 Parliamentarian’s Christmas Get-together Celebration at New Delhi where the Prime Minister, vice President, Lok sabha Speaker, Central Ministers, Several MPs, Chief Minister of New Delhi, the dignitaries and the Indian Christian Leaders we participated.

 God has been so merciful to him and has blessed him in every way with success. The Lord has always stood by him in all his efforts and achievements. He is involved in lot of social activities also and helps the needy people by his generous contribution.

In line with our objective to be a lawful and largest mine owner and exporter, we have been granted 6 Mining leases in various Taluks / Villages in Tiruchirapalli District

We are the first firm to locate large areas of River Garnet Sand Deposits in 1990’s and applied several Mining Leases in and around Trichy District.  Also, we are the first firm to get  River Garnet Mining Lease  from Government of Tamil Nadu after the approval of the Government of India and successfully developed suitable Technology for separation of the River Garnet Sand.

We are very proud to record here that we are the pioneers of River Garnet Sand in India

We are the first Company in India, which secured mining rights for mining both River Garnet and Sea Garnet in India.   Incidentally IGSC is the only Company having both River Garnet and Sea Garnet processing industries in India

We carry out mining operation in our own mining lease areas granted to us strictly in compliance with the terms and conditions stipulated in the approved mining plan granted to us by the Government without any deviation whatsoever

Processing unit is an integral part of our organization as it allows us to offer pure and good quality Garnets to our clients. Our processing unit is well equipped with sound facilities that allows us to cater to the bulk requirements of the customers. We have installed advanced machines within the processing unit which are as follows:

• Crushing plants
• Ball mills
• Concentrators

Our experts assure to regularly upgrade these machines so as to enhance the processing capacity of Garnets.

This is the reason for us to establish an R&D wing, which constantly focuses upon conducting surveys and studies so as to come up with new range of River garnets. They are also responsible for conducting scientific studies to know at what all places can  River garnets be found. Further, they also aim at understanding the requirements of the customers and offer the River garnets accordingly.

For this, we have created a special quality management system (as per ISO 9001:2000), wherein, our quality controllers check these Garnets at each and every level of processing so as to ensure that the pure Garnets are delivered at the clients' end. We make sure to mine the Garnets in a way that they don not get affected. Further, these are checked on different parameters that are as follows:

• Polish
• Cuts
• Luster
• Hardness

Moreover, we have established a 100% processing unit to recover the Garnets in an actual form and upgrade them to 98.2 – 99% purity.

The raw materials from the mines are transported to the near by factory and are pre concentrated and washed with pure river water to make contamination free garnet and then the washed garnet are dried naturally and mechanically using the fluidized bed dryer. The dried material is processes with high power Magnetic separators to attain 98% to 99% pure garnet. Garnet is screened accurately according to the customer’s need to produce consistent top quality river garnet with hi-tech screening machines. The garnet is tested at all the phases of processing before being packed at the quality control laboratory.

• CAD/CAM Facilities : Factory layouts are designed using CAD
• Design Facilities:  Setup for  Structural & Fabrication and Machine Drawings are implemented and a skilled employees are been deployed for the specific process
• R&D Facilities : We have a tie up with Technical Institutions of Repute like Manonmaniam Sundaranar University – Tamil Nadu for our Research and Development

We have a modern and well-equipped Quality Control (QC) laboratory, which ensures that our products are pure, safe and effective and are released only after thorough analysis as per stringent specifications, methods and procedures developed according to international guidelines.

 Our QC department has all necessary instruments for analysis of finished products, raw materials packaging and related materials used.

 The QC department performs following activities:

• In – Process Checks
• Stability Studies
