Alfa Set Resin This is a special type of phenolic no-bake resin with two part system, used for the large size Iron and Steel casting for the machines and automotive industries. The first part is the resin where as the second part is the catalyst in liquid form.
The Alfa Set resin have some added advantages over the conventional no bake binder – such as: a) Comparatively cheaper, b) free from distressful fume emission, c) Smooth surface finish, d) Suitable for almost all Indian sand e) No effect of humidity on the moulded cores f) The resin contaminated tools are easily washable with plain water only g) easily collapsible cores.

Foundry Resin Shell-Molding Resin: This is a phenolic novolac type resin in liquid stage. Shell moulding process is a two part system. The first part is the resin where as second part is the catalyst, in powder form. Coated sand made out of Shell Moulding resin, provides good cold and hot tensile strengths, proper stick point and minimum peel-back. Normally 1.8 to 2.5% resin on sand is sufficient for the cores, but sometimes 3 to 4% resin on sand is required for the production of moulds which are subject to higher stress during casting, than cores. In the shell moulding process resin coated sand is placed into a heated metal pattern (250 - 280°C) by means of a dump-box or blowing with special machines into hot closed moulds.
For making resin-coated sands, for use in the shell-moulding process, Indo-Bell manufactures Phenol-Formaldehyde resins, both in liquid and powder forms. Indo-Bell also manufactures suitable ‘Shell-Catalyst’ for the liquid Phenol-Formaldehyde resin for the shell-moulding process.
Notes: Advantage of Shell-Moulding Process—the process distinguishes itself by a very accurate reproduction of all the contours of the model, very narrow tolerance can be maintained during the casting operation and is of particular importance to the automotive industries because of its high tolerances in comparison to other process.
Hot-Box Resin: A wet resin and sand is blown into the heated core box. Indo-Bell manufactures Furfuryl Alcohol modified Hot box resin with lower nitrogen content. The hot-box process is applicable to mass production of small and medium volume castings, in the automotive industries.

No-Bake Resin This is a resol type phenolic resin with two part system, used for the large size iron and steel casting for machines and automotive industries. The first part is the resin and the second part is catalyst in liquid form. The shelf life of the resin is 2 months while the shelf life of the catalyst is 6 months.
No-bake process is economical because it is a cold cured system and application of extra heat is not required. They cured rapidly even at 5º C to produce distinctively brilliant red sand colour. One of the greatest advantages of this technique is the capability of varying the curing time/setting time by varying the catalyst addition rates, which varies 40% to 100% on the basis of resin. No-bake is suitable for the casting of large pieces of gray-cast iron and cast steel for machine and vehicle construction. Nitrogen free fast setting Phenolic resins were introduced later on . A compromise between removal time, casting performance and price is achieved by the combination of three resin components – PF, UF and FA. This is used for cores and moulds of gray and ductile cast iron steel and non-ferrous light and heavy metal castings. Resin addition is maintained between 1.2 to 2% and 65 to 85% PTSA solution is used @ 40 to 100% on resin, depending on the curing rate/setting time.
A typical formulation for no-bake sand: Dry Silica Sand 100 pts. 65% Catalyst 0.6 pts. PF/FA Resin 1.2 pts. Iron Oxide 0 to 1 pts.

Nodulated Rockwool We are the manufacturer, supplier & expoprter of different types of Nodulated Rockwool. Loose bulk Rockwool converted through stages of slicing separation of foreign particles more so called the shot content and then seiveng to eleminate the dust silica content result nodulated fibres. These fibres without any loss of its insulating value finds application in auto brake pads, railway brake blocks and many other applications of fiction industry.
The standard packing is in PP Bags of 12.5 & 20kgs.

Refractory Resins A number of industrial processes such as steel and other manufacturing processes operate at high temperatures from 1000°C to 2000°C or more. An extensive technology of refractory materials capable of operating at these high temperatures Has since been developed. These refractory materials must maintain their mechanical properties at high temperatures and must be resistant to the environment present.
Indo-Bell manufactures both resol and novolac types of resins for the Refractory Industries.
Novolac- type of resins are available in both liquid and powder form. Resol type liquid resin is also available as per customer’s specification.
