| Introduction: Makes
the Rigid PVC work better is a versatile plastic
having an excellent combination of strength, chemical inertness, and
fire resistance. It is, however, difficult to fabricate. Its poor
hot strength and lack of cohesiveness at processing temperatures prevent it from flowing smoothly through processing machinery.
Additionally, calendered and extruded PVC products may exhibit
surface imperfections such as air streaks and melt fractures. Indofil
K-120ND processing aid is a highly dispersible powder that prevents
many problems associated with PVC processing. The excellent
disperibility of Indofil K-120ND processing aid results in fewer gels
of fish eyes in clear vinyl formulations. Compounds containing one
to five percent of the processing aid fuse rapidly, flow smoothly,
have excellent hot strength, and are readily formed. Clarity,
rheology, heat stability, and crease whitening resistance of PVC
modified with Indofil K-120ND processing aid are maintained.
Additionally, the process used to manufacture Indofil K-120ND
processing aid enhances powder flow and achieves molecular weight

Its efficiency is visible however
with right kind of screw barrel geometry of extrudes and where
criticality of finished article dimensions are of concern to the
user. 3.2 Efficiency & Output rate Indofil K-125 processing aid is
designed in such a manner that the machine capacity is fully utilized
to bring out fast & homogeneous melt. It effects of the
ingredients by helping them in dispersing faster & mixing better.
This results in improving the efficiency of the process which
naturally results in improving the rate of output. 3.3 Uniform flow PVC
melt is more viscous & hot melt has a tendency to stick to Metal
parts. This mostly gives interruptions in flow pattern. It leads to
sometimes melt fracture. All these gets avoid when using Indofil
K-125 because of its inherent tendency to provide uniform K-125
because of its inherent tendency to provide uniform flow at different
degrees of shear. Applications These include PVC bottles, pipes,
fittings, calendered films and sheets, foamed sheets and profiles.
The major ones are discussed below. Dosage recommended is 0.5 – 2
parts per 100 parts of PVC resin.
