About UsIndo Power Projects Ltd., formally known as Power Projects, was founded by an entrepreneur Electrical Engineer from I.I.T. Kharagpur in 1978. In first 10 years the company carried out a number of electrical installations on behalf of renowned Electrical Construction companies like Siemens, Best & Crompton Engg. Ltd., etc. The Company had specialized to take the entire responsibilities from unloading, receipt, storage, security, shifting, erection, testing & commissioning of the entire electrical installation behalf of main contractor leaving the supply of major equipment to the prime contractor, since the Company had financial limitations in supplying high value equipment. Being an efficient erection contractor, the Company could bag repeated orders from reputed firms.
In 1989 the Company was converted to a Private Limited Company and inducted a few professional technocrats, strengthened with more qualified supervisors and licensed technicians backed by sophisticated tools, instruments, etc. With this renewed strength the Company started securing turnkey contracts directly from various Steel Plants. Power Plants, Railways, etc. The Company also started undertaking Civil & Structural work associated with electrical work.
On 23rd February, 1996 the Company was converted to a Public Limited Company U/S. 23(1) of Company Act 1956. During this period separate divisions were formed to undertake Engineering, Procurement & Construction Projects (EPC); Erection, Testing & Commissioning Projects (ETC); Testing & Commissioning Projects (T&C); Operation & Maintenance of Electrical Installations (O&M). |
