About Us

The genesis of the Indorama family of companies was established in Indonesia by group patriarch Mr. M.L. Lohia. Today, his sons have established leading companies that form the world’s largest manufacturer of Polyester and PET as well as are one of the largest producers of PTA in the world.

Indorama Corporation (“Indorama Corp”) started with the establishment of a spun yarns manufacturing plant in 1976 in Indonesia by Mr. S.P. Lohia. Today, Indorama Corp is a leading Asian organization headed by its Chairman Mr. S.P. Lohia and Managing Director Mr. Amit Lohia. Indorama Corp is a global manufacturer of Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyester Fiber, Filament as well as Spun Yarns, Fabrics, and Medical Gloves. It is the second largest producer of Polyolefins in Africa and the largest in West Africa.

In 2008 Indorama Corp has invested in Indorama Ventures PCL (IVL), which listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in February 2010 and was established in 1995 by Mr. Aloke Lohia. Indorama Ventures is amongst the world’s largest integrated manufacturers of PTA, PET and Polyester. Indorama Ventures is the only producer of PET across 3 continents of Asia, Europe and USA with 15 manufacturing plants.

Indorama products are shipped to over 90 countries across four continents and over 16,000 employees are the proud members of Indorama family of companies.
