Pad Printing is a process which involves printing components in bulk volumes; in single as well as multi colours. A combination of offset & gravure printing is used in this process.

Principle of process: It includes an etched plate with a moving cup system & a silicon rubber pad (controlled electro pneumatically) to get the print through a specific sequence.

This process includes ink cup for spreading ink on plate's etched surface. It is then picked up by a rubber pad and is then transferred to the component in a single complete cycle. Use of silicon rubber pad allows transfer of print from etched plate to the component & therefore the name pad printing machine.
