Pad printing is a process of printing components in large volumes in single and multi colors by using combination offset and gravure printing. The principle of printing consists of an etched plate a moving cup mechanism and a silicon rubber pad, which is electro pneumatically controlled to get the print by a definite sequence. The process consists of ink cup spreading the ink on the etched surface of the plate which is picked up subsequently by a rubber pad and is then transfer to component in one complete cycle. Silicon rubber pad is used to transferring the print from etched plate to the component and hence the name Pad Printing Machine.
