Infocon International was founded in 1992 and soon became one of the pioneers of desktop publishing in India's Silicon Valley, focusing on text data conversion.
Today, it is the preferred outsourcing partner of some of the biggest names in global publishing.
Over the last decade, the company has undertaken data conversion work for clients requiring SGML and has transcribed books on Art, Music, Film, Careers, Economics, History, Environment, Geography, Literature, Management, Religion, Sports, Tourism, as well as Novels, Biographies, Dictionaries and Educational books.
Our experience is not just with individual bound books, we have also been successful in converting huge legal data bases. Just look at these examples:
American Case Law
15 million pages of the United States Case Law were converted into a proprietary format for the law libraries of our client. The project included converting the Case Law of the Federal Circuit Courts, The Supreme Court of the United States, and the Appellate Courts of several states in the U.S.
American Statutes, Rules and Regulations
Statutes, Rules and Regulations of various states in the U.S. were converted into a proprietary format.
2.5 million pages of the Case Law of the Indian Supreme court, and High Courts, as well as the Acts passed by the Central Government of India, were converted into a Folio Views Infobase.
Over the past three years we have worked with leading electronic book vendors and converted thousands of books from print and type setting files into e-books.
Current projects include creation of electronic databases and e-book conversion for many Indian and international publishers
