Magnetic Particle Examination

Magnetic Particle Examination

We are a popular name involved in executing Magnetic Particle Examination services. The Magnetic Particle Inspection method of Non-Destructive testing is a method used for locating surface and sub-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic material. For its operation, it de[ends on the face that when the material or part under test is magnetized the discontinuities lying in a direction generally transverse to the direction of the magnetic field will cause a leakage field. Therefore, the presence of the discontinuity is detected by using finely divided ferromagnetic particles applied over the surface. Some of these particles being gathered and held by the leakage field, this magnetically held collection of particles forms an outline of the discontinuity and indicates its size, location, shape and extent.

Liquid Penetrant Examinations

Liquid Penetrant Examinations

Our in-depth expertise allows us to render a broad range of Liquid Penetrant Examination services. Dye penetrant inspection (DPI), also known as liquid penetrant examination (LPE) is a type of nondestructive testing used generally in the detection of surface breaking flaws in non-ferrous alloys. It is also applicable in the inspection of ferrous material where magnetic-particle inspection is difficult to apply. In some cases, it can also be used on non-metallic material. Variations that include the use of fluorescent dyes, where a black (UV) light is used for illuminating the residual penetrant. This technique has even higher sensitivity in comparison to normal LPE but can be used only in the absence of other light sources.
