Rust preventive or anti rust oil are specially formulated oil which provide protection from rust. Rust preventive or anti rust oil once applied to the surface of the materials by brush or by spray protects the materials from getting rust.

Rust preventive are generally classified into three catagories:

1. Rust preventive / Antirust - Oil based
2. Rust preventive / Antirust - Solvent based
3. Rust preventive / Antirust - Bitumen based

Mak Rustrol 152 is a oil based Rust preventive or Anti rust oil. Such Rust preventive oil can be applied by brush or by spray.

Rust preventive  or Anti rust oil are the blends of rust preventive material in a solvent for ease of application. MAK TCPF 54 provides soft and thin film over the metal surface, thereby providing up to 12 months of indoor storage of the surfaces to be protected. MAK TCPF 60 develops a medium tacky film where as MAK TCPF 62 provides a touch dry film leading to indoor protection of material for a period upto 18 months.
