IOGS has created a niche in the industry of garnet sand manufacturing and exporting since the time of its incorporation. Under the able leadership of Mr. Ramesh, the company has emerged as a leader and quality manufacturer of high grade natural garnet sand.

IOGS entered the market with a production capacity of 100 M. Tons in the year 1982. Today it has touched an all time high production of 48000 M. Tons with an ability to cater to the garnet requirement of the global and individual consumers.

Products
Of the six major varieties of Garnet, i.e., Almandine, Grossularite, Pyrope, Spessartite, Andradite, Uvarovite, we are into the production of Almandine Garnet sand, which is the best abrasive Garnet sand. Our range of garnet sand are used in varieties of applications from polishing, decorating to water filtration, cleaning, etc. Our range includes:

The two grade of garnet produced here are :

• Blasting Grades
  Blasting grade Garnet from IOGS can be used for Blast Cleaning of ships, oil rigs, oil pipes, oil storage vessels, Water tanks, boilers, railcars & wagons, pipes etc. with highest efficiency and low dust levels.
• IOGS Water Jet Cutting Grades
  IOGS Garnet with precise size and low dust is found to be effective in cutting stainless steel, titanium, alloys, granites glasses etc. with high accuracy to any geometrical shape.

Processing & Grading
The raw materials are pre-concentrated using the magnetic separator. To make contamination free garnet the concentrated materials are washed in the main unit and then they are dried using the fuel operated rotary dryer. The dried material is processed with high power magnetic separators to attain 97% - 99% pure garnet. Garnet is screened accurately according to the customer's need to produce consistent top quality garnet with hi-tech screening machines.

Quality
We have well-trained and experienced master graduates of geology and mining in all levels of processing i.e. from mining till packing. The garnet is tested at all the phases of the processing before being packed at the quality control laboratory.

Infrastructure
We at IOGS, own mines and three factories. These are one of the well equipped factories supported by the state-of-art-technology, successfully functioning at the mining premises. Contributing to our success, we have two sophisticated factories at Tuticorin. Our factory comprises of high power magnetic separators, washing machines, sizes, rotary dryer and automated filling system. We also possess a huge well-lit warehouse, protected from dust, rain and sunlight, facilitating in-house stocking. To assure the product quality we also have a fully equipped laboratory which follows stringent quality control measures. The shipment of the packed products are done through Tuticorin port, just 5 km from the warehouse.
