About UsIndia Poly Roads Private Limited manufactures high quality polymer stabilization products for the road construction industry under technical collaboration of Polymer Pavements, South Africa. Polymer Pavement personnel have been active in development of polymers for road stabilization for more than 10 years and has formed strategic alliance with leading international polymer companies that are at the forefront of nano- polymer technology.
The first polymer road was stabilized in Radio kop, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1998. A light asphalt "chip and spray" seal was applied over this road. Today, ten years later with no maintenance at all, the traditional seal is showing signs of severe fatigue. However, the base and sub-base layers of this heavily used quarry road still stands proudly and bears testimony to, the enormous potential road stabilization. Subsequently, since the first polymer product was used for stabilization in 1998, the product has been improved ten fold.
Focus of IPPL is on research and development of industrial polymer based products for the Highway construction industry. IPPL Design and Application /Engineers Will advice and assist partners in site inspections, soil testing, alternate crust design, planning and the transfer of IPPL's product knowledge. In order for consulting engineers to familiarize themselves with the technology and alternate performance based design, IPPL has realized the need to provide an empirical alternate Highway design for their products resulting in Professor Alex Visser from the University of Pretoria involved with the testing and R&D with improvised new generation Polymer Soil Stabilizer. IPPL's products are currently produced in South Africa, India and Saudi Arabia. Several smaller "pocket factories" are in the pipeline for 2010, and will be geographically positioned in countries with need for faster and economical infrastructural development. With the rapid acceptance of Polymers as a cost effective alternative to traditional stabilization of roads, the company has expanded very rapidly and now has representative agencies in more than 30 countries around the world.
Quality control is kept to the highest standard with all products being manufactured to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. |
