Founded by Late Shri Dunichand T. Kalani, the group commenced its business operations with the trade of liquor products, which has now flourished into a full-fledged business group, having a turnover of Rs. 400 crores. With the consistent efforts and a desire to excel in the liquor business, the group now holds a firm position in the industry and has become a major contributor (approx 10%) of the total revenue generated by Maharashtra State Government.

Working Procedures

Our group has earned an enviable reputation in the liquor business, with its manufactured range of whiskies gaining a strong loyalty amongst customers. To ensure that the loyalty of our customers is maintained, we have established our own distillery divisions.

VIII. Rama Marketing Enterprises – Mumbai: Rama Marketing has a distribution network of Liquor products and the company is a renowned distributor of Shaw Wallace & Co products. The company presently distributes the Foster Beer and has attained the turnover of Rs. 25.00 crores per annum, which is set to be increased to 40.00 crores per annum.

IX. Kalani Marketing Private Limited: The D.T. K. Group's parent company, Kalyani Marketing Private Limited is engaged in the business since 35 years. The company is engaged in distribution of Shaw Wallace & Co. products, out of which 15000 unit are of IMFL & 60000 units are of Beer, which totals to give a turnover of Rs. 50.00 crores.

I. Deejay Distilleries Private Limited: One of the largest malt spirit & grain distilleries in India, Deejay Distilleries Private Limited has built the capacity of 15.00 Lac units per annum, with the turnover of Rs. 25.00 crores. This distillery also caters to the markets of Angola Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia and Western Africa.

II. Master Blenders Private Limited: This distillery has the capacity of 5.00 Lac units per annum, with the turnover of Rs. 10.00 Crores. The products manufactured in this distillery are distributed in Maharashtra.

III. Karan Distilleries Private Limited: This distillery has the capacity of 22 kl per day and has the turnover of Rs. 25.00 Crores. The Copper Distillation Plant is installed in this distillery which can produce quality grain spirits. This distillery fulfills the needs of Group Companies and the domestic requirements.

IV. Karan Agencies – Distillery Division Kolhapur: This Distillery has the capacity of 70 kl per day and has a turnover of Rs. 80.00 crores. It is well known for its Rectified Spirit & Extra Neutral Alcohol, all over the country.

V. Karan Agencies – Country Liquor Division Nasik: The company has established strategic tie-ups with Brihans Maharashtra Sugar Syndicate Ltd., for Country Liquor Unit, which has the production capacity of 32.00 Lacs units per annum and the turnover of Rs. 156.00 Crores.

VI. Karan Agencies – Country Liquor Division Kolhapur: The Group also has taken over country liquor unit of Kolhapur Sugar Mills Limited Kolhapur 750 km from Mumbai having capacity of 5.00 lacs cases per annum with the turnover of Rs. 25.00 crores.

VII. Walchandnagar Distillery - Pune: This distillery has the capacity of 50 kl per day and has a turnover of Rs. 50.00 to 60.00 crores. It is well known for its Rectified Spirit & Extra Neutral Alcohol, all over the country.
