Operations and Equipments

Overall operation in a modern rice mill involves handling of stored paddy and milling it to get polished rice. In brief, the rice milling process is as follows:

• Cleaning – The cleaning of paddy is based on different physical properties such as weight, size, density and properties of impurities. Paddy impurities lighter than paddy are removed by an aspirator.
• De-husking - Our modern rice mills have rubber roll sheller as the principal de-husking unit.
• Husk Separation- The mixture of shelled paddy (brown rice), remaining unshelled paddy, some broken and husk comes out of the sheller. Husk is separated from heavier paddy and rice by aspiration.
• Paddy Separation- A paddy separate is used to separate paddy from brown rice as grains differ in size, so smaller grains remain unshelled.
• Precision Sizer- It is used for removing thin and over sized grains, leaving behind uniform grains for good cooking result & slender grains.
• Polishing & Silky- Some amount of polishing or removal of bran layers is essential for easy cooking and storage. There are two types of polishers -Abrasive and Friction. After polishing the rice move to silky for shiny finish.
• Grading- After silky operations, the milled rice contains head rice of different sizes. Separation of broken from head rice is termed grading.
• Sortex (Color Sorting)- We have modern machines fully equipped which cleans rice, removes discolored grains, leaving behind clean (pearl white grains).

• Dandekar Length Grader - Used for length wise grading
• Satake (Japan) Color Sortex - Used for color wise sorting

Our warehouse is very spacious and is used for storing all our Rice and Wheat. It has all the latest facilities that enables us to store the products in bulk quantity. It is well categorized to keep various range of products under suitable labeling. It is managed by a team of warehousing experts having several years of experience of the domain.

Mostly we use PP/HDPE bags for our products. Jute bags are also being used as per requirements of the customers. PP/ HDPE bags are used mostly in packing 25 Kg and 50 Kg packing as per the requirements of the customers. We also provide the products in the packing which is duly printed in the brand of the buyer.

The weighing process is fully automatic. The automatic weigher receives the material in a continuous flow and it is released in predetermined quantities by weight. Automatic baggers ensure dust free bagging of finished products and records the number of weights made. Continuous up gradation of machines is required as technology keeps on changing. Using the available technology is best for the industry.
