Standard strapping dispenser suitable for almost all strapping departments equipped with solid rubber tyres for easy mobility. Simple and easy strap coil reloading.

As for Model DE-9 but equipped with tool tray for stowage of strapping tool, cutters and other ancilliary equipment.

Equipped with an additional strap guide-roller and strap dancer arm for smooth, high-speed strap pay-out in automatic power strapping equipment.

A horizontal dispenser with left- or right-hand strap pay-out. For strap gauges over 0.6 mm a dispenser cover (OWM 0273) is required. The dispenser can be easily located under work tables or a conveyor to save space.

Suitable for overhead location, where floor space is at a premium, strap feed to operators from overhead. Dispenser can be mounted on optional suspension unit for max. 75 kg.

As for Model DO-3A above, but suitable for ribbon-wound strapping only.

This dispenser is similar to Model DF-10 RW but has, no tool tray attachment.

A mobile dispenser equipped with tool tray suitable for ribbon-wound strapping.

Heavy-duty design with large-dimensioned inflatable tyres ideally suited for use outside in difficult terrain. Equipped with tool tray. The dispenser is suitable for ribbon-wound, heavy-duty strapping. The four solid rubber tyres give good mobility, with a tool tray, and a spare strapping coil holder. A filter-lubricator-regulator unit for air tools with hose can be mounted on the dispenser as an option. For easy strapping coil loading the coil is simply slid onto the flat dispenser horizontally, the guide tube directs the strapping to the optimum operator working height. Two ribbon-wound coils can be loaded into the dispenser ready for use, equipped with solid rubber tyres.

Specially designed for use in demanding applications in the steel industry with integrated tool / seal tray and strap guide roller at front.

Suitable for manual strap pre-cutting. The operator rotates the coil thus feeding out the strapping to the desired length, cut-off is via footpedal. If necessary, the dispenser can accommodate two coils of different sized strapping.

Electrically powered for pre-cutting strapping in lengths from 0,3 to 30 m. Strap length and number can be pre-selected. Strap gauges 0,5 x I mm. 5 bar pneumatic operating and control pressure required

TOOL MAINTENANCE

This tool has been thoroughly inspected and tested before shipment. It is designed for long life and trouble free service. Applying light machine oil to all moving parts will aid you in prolonging the serviceability of this tool. In the event parts need replacement, contact your local ITW Signode Representative.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHARPENING LOWER CUTTER BLADE

(Key No. 10) ON MODEL CU-25 STRAP CUTTER

STEP 1. Dismantle blade by removing socket-head center screw, (Key #11). IMPORTANT!

This screw has left hand threads.

STEP 2. Remove any burrs or nicks from outside face of cutter blade which prevent blade

from laying flat on magnetic chuck.

STEP 3. Locate outside face on magnetic chuck of surface grinder with length of blade running

parallel with grinding wheel. Grind entire surface of cutting face side. Remove only

sufficient metal to clean up cutting edge.

Reassemble, making sure that all locating surfaces are free from dust or chips. Tighten

3. WEAR ADEQUATE EYE AND FACE PROTECTION.

4. TREAT THE TOOL WITH RESPECT. Keep it clean, lubricated, and properly adjusted. Inspect

it daily. Replace worn parts.

5. TUCK THE STRAP END BACK INTO THE DISPENSER WHEN YOU’RE THROUGH.

We offer premier quality Strap Cutter tool, which is acknowledged for construction, functionality and durable work life. These tools are used to cut tensioned strap of up to 1 1/4” x.035” (32mm x 0.88mm). Herein, the stand to one side of the strap is being cut and cutter is strap is held by the cutter against the package. Furthermore, we recommend to keep a distance from possible flying strap ends for safety reasons.

• User must take additional care when cutting ties on compressed loads; as strap will recoil with a greater force
• Strap should always be cut in form of a square; strap cut at an angle having a much sharper end
• Disposing cut straps and strap should not be left there to present a tripping a hazard
• Everyday inspection of cutter for worn or damaged cutting surfaces
• Surfaces are worn or damaged, tool should not be used
• Using protective gloves while handling strap or sharp parts
