Basic Equipments/Components Of The System

Any Air Pollution Control system Consist of suction hoods, ducting, blower & control equipments like scrubber/dust collector etc. The fume is extracted by hoods & conveyed by ducting and controled by scrubber/ Dust collector/ seprartor. Blower conected with suitable electric motor supply the entire energy. Stack/Chimney design & height is also important in dispersing/diluting the ambient air.

Capacity is calculated in CFM (Air volumetric capacity in cubic feet per minute) or in m3/hr. the design calculation depends on application and ventilation standards which are applied considering air-capture velocity and the process technical requirements such as:

  • Fumes/dusts extracted (being sucked) from the closed tanks/vessels/reactors or from open tank/vessels/Furnace.
  • Tank /vessel dimensions: Length x Width x Height or Diameter
  • Charging whole or access door area, vent size.
  • expected air dust gases volumes in case of furnaces
  • chemical reactions (preferably With vol/wt. Proportion)
  • Dust /fumes source & application details

More closure (enclosure) type of hood requires lesser CFM, smaller sizes of ducting, blower, scrubber, and dust collector.

The pressure loss is calculated by knowing the ducting layout & resistance in the control equipments like scrubbers/dust collectors.

 Details regarding contaminants are important such as:
 
  •  solid particulates
  • gas (molecular form).
  •  soluble in water
  •  sticking tendency

WHY PP/FRP BLOWERS
:

Coated M.S FRP / PP / Rubber lining biowers suffers from cracks or pinholes, also the coating is usually thin, it subjects to erosion at leading edges of blades, hence general failure sets in. The result ? Corrosion, Reduced life, Concern of plant safety. Legal authorises walk in. And you begin with a whole lot of problems to solve there after. With invention of plastics like polypropylene (PP), FRP (fiberglass reinforced plaslics) a new order is put in Blower technology. Corrosion resistant property along with ease in fabrication for intricate shape, make PP / FRP Blowers very useful in corrosive applications. Above all, the strength-to-weight ratio is higher than steel, hence starting-torque, power consumptions are less compared to steel blowers.

Orifice Scrubbers

This orifice type of scrubber is maintenance free as the same is pump-less in operation (i.e., circulation of liquid is not required, which is normally required by any conventional scrubber). The orifice scrubber has two compartments, one with gas inlet nozzle and other with outlet air/gas nozzle. Contaminants like vapour/dust/gas are conveyed from the hoods/vessels/ducting to the scrubber inlet and pass through orifice venture slot provided over the water/liquid level. As the area through venturi is quite less compared to the other places, very high air velocity through orifice venture breaks the liquid in micronic droplets. The other compartment of the scrubber will have mist eliminator, which will separate all the droplets from the air stream and clean air comes out from the scrubber outlet. A makeup water tank with float arrangement is provided for maintaining water level in the orifice scrubber. This scrubber is connected to the suitable blower and ducting. Please note that this scrubber design is based on “very high velocity” at venturi slot while conventional packed-bed design requires low throughput velocity and hence the orifice scrubber is very compact and economical compared to packed-bed scrubber.

Our range of packed bed type scrubbers are used for removal of gas, vapors, chemical mist etc. It is a cylindrical tower packed with plastic tower packing or any-other suitable packing materials for particular application and provided with a water spraying arrangement. Fumes/ Gaseous contaminantes travel vertically upwards while caustic liquid / water is spyared from the top, over the tower packing. The liquid is recirculated with pump.  



Cyclone Dust Collector

We offer a range of cyclone dust collectors, which are used for removing particulate from in-plant air economically and efficiently.The dust-laden air enters into the cyclone tangentially and the force of the centrifugal shifts the particulate against the cone wall, out of the air stream, to a storage area, this way the clean air exhausts out of the cyclone.

Our dust collector finds application for:

The design of the dust collectors integrates a helix into the inner cylinder, which minimizes inlet turbulence that is common with conventional cyclones and accelerates the creation of the centrifugal airflow.

 A greater centrifugal airflow improves the separation of particles and boosts the collection efficiency.

Pneumatic Systems

Pneumatic Conveying Systems : are widely used in the industry for receving, storing discharging and moving a variety of powdered, granular and pelletized materials. These systems are fully enclosed, thereby eliminating any product contamination or loss. We offer pneumatic conveying systems with vacuum lean phase and pressure dilute phase for material handling equipment.

They use positive displacement exhausters and provide required vacuum to convey materials through a pipeline to the destination. At this point the air and product are separated at a receiving vessel with a filter or a cyclone.

Clean Rooms & Air Washer : available in modular designs the clean rooms and air washers comprise of pre-fabricated tank and panels. Widely used in textile mills, paper, tea garden and green house / poultry sheds these equipment provide reliable performance and long life.
