Cover Block

Providing correct cover to rebars is of paramount importance. It guarantees proper positioning of rebars, which contributes to durability and enhanced life of the structure. Bonding between concrete spacers and the surrounding concrete is perfect. These covers are designed for easy placement & positioning of beam and provide stability.

Technical specification :

Fabrication of reinforcements tmt / ctd bars confirming to is 1786 with fe 415 / 500 grade of various diameters to reinforced concrete work. The work includes cutting, bending, fabricating and placing in position according to drawings including supply and use of 18 guage black annealed binding wire in two strand to tie the bars in position and providing kng cover blocks manufactured from polypropylene, chemically inert for all bars to ensure specified covers according to relevant drawing and as per is 456 – 2000.

Metakaolin :

POZZOFILZ (Metakaolin) is an SCM that conforms to ASTM C618, Class N pozzolan specifications. POZZOFILZ HRM is unique in that it is not the by-product of an industrial process nor is it entirely natural; it is derived from a naturally occurring mineraland is manufactured specifically for cementing applications. Unlike by-product pozzolans, which can have variable composition, POZZOFILZ HRM is produced under carefully controlled conditions to refine its color, remove inert impurities, and tailor particle size such, a much higher degree of purity and pozzolanic reactivity can be obtained. POZZOFILZ HRM has great promise as an SCM, as it can improve many properties of concrete while also reducing cement consumption.

Regardless of the reactivity of an SCM, if it is extremely fine, it will generally impart some benefit to mortars and concrete. Small particles, which can fit between cement grains, allow for more efficient paste packing, which in turn reduces bleeding, lowers the mean size of capillary pores, and may reduce water requirement.

Demanding end parameters of concrete in last decade and durability criteria for Roads, Bridges, Dams, Tower Projects, Ultra thin white topping (UTWT) and HPC Projects have lead to evolution, usage of new generation mineral admixtures as an integral part of HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE.

Fibermesh SYNTHETIC FIBERS are manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene, in the world’s largest and technologically most advanced plant in the world (for Synthetic fibers for concrete) to ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 quality assurance standards. Further, Fibermesh fibres are specially engineered for use in concrete and mortars as a secondary reinforcement and are designed to provide an uniform three dimensional distribution without any clogging or clumping.

 

  • Monofilaments (bundles of thin individual monofilaments) i.e. our `STEALTH’ fibres – These are the economical fibres which can be used in general reinforced concrete, light duty industrial floor slabs, driveways and parking areas in residential / commercial buildings, aesthetic concrete elements, plasters and for preventing explosive spalling of concrete due to fire, water retaining structures etc. Available also now Stealth e3 Multidimensional graded fibres (The only of its kind in the world) which are also capable of mixing in handmixed plasters.

  • Fine Fibrillated fibres (bundles of interconnected strands which open up during the mixing process) i.e. our `Harbourite’ fibres – These are superior technology fibres for use in Plaster, Gunite and Precast elements and are the only fibres in the world which can even mix in dry mortars like gunite.

  • Graded Fibrillated fibres (Thick bundles of interconnected strands which open up during the mixing process) i.e. our `Fibermesh Inforce e3 fibres – These are the world’s most advanced fibres for use in reinforced concrete, marine structures, concrete subject to seismic forces, heavy duty industrial floor slabs, concrete pavements, water retaining structures, machine foundations, for superior concrete toughness and to provide post crack residual strength.

  • Antimicrobial fibres i.e. our `Microblocker’ fibres – These fibres are manufactured with an antimicrobial agent which enables the fibres to fight and prevent the growth of Thin cell wall micro organisms such as bacteria, fungi, yeast, mold and mildew in or on the concrete/mortar surface, and, most importantly, function for the life of the concrete/ mortar.

Steel Fibres

Novocon steel fibres :

Concrete materials are very brittle when subjected to normal stresses and impact loads. There has always been a need to add reinforcement to concrete to compensate for this lack of ductility. In many cases, the concrete member is kept intact using steel bars or welded wire fabric reinforcement in one or two locations of potentially high stress. If the concrete cracks, the concrete is hinged together at those limited locations.

The introduction of randomly distributed steel fibre reinforcing throughout the concrete mix transforms the hardened concrete material into a more flexible composite system. The tensile stresses of the concrete are not just compensated for in one or two locations. The concrete material is reinforced throughout the entire concrete section, in multiple directions. Steel fibre reinforced concrete is able to withstand much greater stresses, both prior to and after cracking. Homogeneously reinforced concrete has substantially greater fatigue and impact resistance than conventionally reinforced materials, greatly reducing the potential for fractures and spalling. If the concrete should crack, steel fibre reinforcement is able to minimize the crack width. All novocon steel fibres are astm a820 compliant type i steel fibres made from high tensile steel cold drawn steel wire and specially engineered for use in concrete to provide numerous quality, durability and performance enhancement novocon steel fibres, are available in the following types.

Concrete densifier and chemical hardener :

Liqui-hard concrete densifier and chemical hardener compound is a ready-to-use, colorless liquid, formulated with chemically reactive raw materials to harden and dustproof concrete. When properly applied, liqui-hard will offer substantial improvement in abrasion and chemical resistance and will significantly improve the durability of the concrete surface when compared to untreated concrete. As liqui-hard is applied and penetrates into the concrete surface, a chemical reaction takes place, producing a byproduct that fills in the pores of the concrete. This process produces a substantially denser concrete surface with enhanced durability. In addition to the densifying and hardening action, liqui-hard also solidifies the concrete, eliminating dusting and pitting.
